“It’s a populist movement. I’m trying hard to fit in.”

Pro tip - ram a steak knife up your nose, just to the point where you’re still concious but no longer feel pain. Warning: you may start wanting to watch the WWE - that’s normal.

If you start watching Jerry Springer and actively taking sides, you know you’ve hit the sweet spot.

It will be interesting to see how many viewers opt out of watching FNC debate precisely because Trump will not be there. I know I won't watch. I don't need to see self-righteous Cruz, over-fed Christie, pontificating Kasich, "angry" Jeb and others trash-talk Trump without him there to defend himself. They looked polite because the rudest, crudest, most indigent candidate there. Without Trump, let's see who the real class act is.

And given how unpredictable this race and Trump's popularity is, he may well be considered the winner while absent. His name may be invoked more than Hillarty or Obama; and if so, he wins in absentia.

“Carson (third place nationally) will drop out if he doesn’t do well in Iowa,NH or SC.”

Agree - and doubt that his remaining supporters are going to Trump anytime soon. As it becomes clearer that this is a two man race, Cruz will likely be picking up a lot more of the other candidates supporters than Trump. I prefer Cruz but will support the ultimate nominee, and think it may be longer primary season than many are anticipating now.

“His name may be invoked more than Hillarty or Obama; and if so, he wins in absentia.”

Probably will work the other way - he chose not to be there, this gives everyone a chance to make their own case without any reference to him and put the focus on why each feels they should be the nominee. One debate positively focused on each making their own case might not be as entertaining to those wanting to watch a brawl, but could initiate a lot of introspection in selecting a candidate.

I will be sorely disappointed if any of the questions or answers even mentions DT once. If he doesn’t go to the debate, he should be ignored and only policy and issues should be discussed especially the most important...

pre-born genocide.

You can’t really think that Trump is afraid of these people...the fact that he’s doing this shows a huge amount of guts...no one has told the MSM what they could do with themselves before.

If they have the dignity to rise above negativity, it will finally give the Republicans the venue to show their visions. However, given the negative ads run against each other, it may turn into its own baseline brawl without a Trump to act as shared target. Jeb vs. Rubio, Cruz vs. Rubio, Christie vs. absent Trump.... And will this give a B Team player like Carly a chance to move up? Whole new equation....

I've been reading about Trump imploding since his campaign announcement back in June.

Every single time Trump implodes, he goes up in the polls.

Now I think he has a 25 point lead.

This is perhaps the most important reason Cruz needs to remain in this primary race for as long as possible, regardless if he succeeds or fails in Iowa or the next 2 primaries. There are enough primary voters in subsequent states who will go for Cruz in a narrowing field if it looks like Trump would otherwise grab it all. Hang in there Ted!

Agree. Trump flashes his wad of ‘FU’ money and stands up to the MSM bullies, because ... you get ambushed once, shame on them. Twice? Shame on you.
Trump’s pale shadows, heads down, would meekly front-and-center before their Media Masters, like the whipped kittens, the invertebrate worms they are—and that’s how they ‘fight’ for us too.

Once again Trump is magnificent and the also-rans look on wistfully, hoping some day they to will grow ‘nads.

Trump’s a man among boys. Let’s throw out the “kids table” and take the race down to #1 and #2:
Donald and Trump.

Yeah, I’ve decided that the best party line for the Anti-Trump Commissariat is that 1) the implosions are actually a steady stream of micro-implosions which individually are too fine to measure, and 2) although Trump has objectively grown stronger, BUT FOR the micro-implosions he would be even YUUUUUUGER!

What else can they say?

When is the Trump versus Cruz Primary?
Will it be held in Calgary, Canada?
