U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday escalated a fight with Fox News, using the word "bimbo" in a tweet about anchor woman Megyn Kelly after he dramatically pulled out of a debate only days before the first votes of the 2016 campaign are cast.

Trump on Tuesday withdrew from the televised encounter, scheduled for Thursday night in Des Moines, Iowa, irritated at host Fox for allowing Kelly to moderate after her questioning had angered him in a debate last year.

It has zero to do with it! Fact all of the past POTUS debates were controlled by the liberal media! How many times are you going to sit by and watch these lib news people think they are above the nation. It started in Vietnam and GW made it almost law by embedding these gotcha types remember Heraldo Rivera drawing a map in the sand to show where they were.....An the azzhat from cbs when the Marines rescued him and they were asking him for info about Sadams army and he refused to tell them?

Well finally we have a POTUS who will stand up to the jerks with the pads who seem to believe they live in a ivory tower and are above everyone else. Well Trump has stopped all the networks no more will they get away with the gotcha game. As Rush is saying now finally someone with the guts to stand up to them....Story’s are the advertising for the debate that advertising per minute has dropped from $250,000 a minute down to 12,000 a minute that is a hit hugely right where they cant afford it

If there is one consistent thing with Trump...it is his inconsistency.

“I’ve been challenged by so many people, and I don’t frankly have time for total political correctness,” he told Megyn Kelly

Trump has to have the last word, and he has to be in the spotlight. Fatal flaw? We shall see.

This observation I agree with completely. The only thing I don't get, how the hell can he be so successful if he is doing this from emotions only? There is some strategic thinking going on otherwise someone would have kicked his arse by now in the "real" world.

The statement put out yesterday by @FoxNews was a disgrace to good broadcasting and journalism. Who would ever say something so nasty & dumb

>>Will this be the type of culture that Trump will espouse and lead us toward?<<

Well, it’s certainly where he’s led his followers so far, so probably.

The fact is that Trump is afraid of hard questions, whether it’s another candidate or a debate moderator or anyone else asking them.

He always goes on the attack, hurls insults, says something outrageous, and changes the subject. Always. And this is just one more instance.

He is running away, not standing up to anything. It’s fundamental cowardice. He is simply afraid to stand up there with the rest of the pack and answer tough questions.

If you elect him, how will you feel when he melts down into invective and insults during the crises than any President inevitably faces?

Because of his success as a businessman and his executive experience, I had hoped that Trump might be the leader who can clean up the mess we’re in. I was (and am) truly an undecided voter. I have a month to make my mind up.

But the events of the past 24 hours have dropped Trump to the bottom of the list as far as I’m concerned. He just does not have the temperament for the job. We don’t need another narcissist in the office.

Carter. Then Clinton. 1992 was a very bad year when we allowed the Clintons into power. We are currently living that election cycle which has lasted lo these many years. Trump is pulling us out of it with no help from Megyn Kelly, who will end up hating the day she dissed the Donald in such an unprofessional unnecessary manner

Damn right. I’m fed up with the Republican snowflakes like Lindsay, Jeb, and the other do nothing homos. This country needs a bare knuckled street fighter with brass balls to destroy the Wahington cartel and crush our enemies. We need a bully for four years to clean up this mess we’re in.

Just checked twitter: he did NOT call her a bimbo. Just a bad reporter.

That's a remarkably obtuse reading of his statement. Saying, "I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct" is, for all intents and purposes, calling her a bimbo.
