Now, it's very simple, if you read The Art of the Deal or if you know Donald Trump at all, it's very simple: He had an unpleasant experience in the first debate, and in his mind, the question that he was asked was rigged. Don't forget, before that first debate, remember all of the news stories that were floating around saying that that debate, somebody at Fox had been given orders by the Republican establishment to take Trump out. Remember that? There were any number of so-called sources for this. Some said it was the donors demanding it. Some said that it was Fox News executives demanding it. Some said it was the RNC demanding it.
Well, Trump's not immune. He hears it. And even if he hadn't heard it he would have to know that they want to take him out; he's outside the game; he's breaking all the rules. He's exposing so much as fraud that has gone on inside the American political process for so long they can't allow somebody like this to win and succeed. It's quite natural they would want to take him out as well. It's Bengals-Steelers time here, folks. It's quite natural they'd want to take him out. Well, he heard it.
Here comes Megyn Kelly's first question. He didn't hear anybody else get a question like that. He never sees Hillary Clinton get a question like that. He never hears Bill Clinton or another Democrat get a question like that. So he answers it and says screw this. I'm not putting myself in that position again. Why should I? I don't have to.
But the rules of the game say when there's a debate, you show up. Screw the rules, he's saying. Why should I willingly give them another shot at me

He’s not avoiding the people of Iowa. He’s all over Iowa. The guy does more TV and radio than any other candidate out there. So I don’t think there’s fear, and I don’t think it’s disrespect for the people of Iowa. This is what it looks like when some guy stands up to the rules and the game and says, “Screw yours; I’m looking out for me first. That’s all this is. And you can say whatever you want, but I am not dumb. I’m not gonna give you the gun and the bullet and stand still. You want to hit me, come get me, but I’m not gonna put myself in your line of fire.” That’s what he’s doing, if you ask me.

RUSH: We’ve just scratched the surface on this. There’s a lot to add to this because there’s new elements now to add to it. But I routinely am asked in the e-mail by people in the audience, “Why don’t you do more TV? That’s me personally. That’s why I don’t do a whole lot of TV. Folks, you wouldn’t believe the number of times a week that we turn down invitations here. I don’t mention it because there’s never been a reason to, but it’s appropriate now to tell you since I get questions about it anyway.
It’s all about not rewarding people who I know do not have my best interests at heart, who I know have no interest in anything other than notching their belt. Why help ‘em? Especially when I don’t like doing makeup anyway. So for me, it’s a no-brainer. And it’s also easy. I don’t have to go on TV to be seen or heard, so I’m fortunate in that regard. A lot of people, the only way they can be seen or heard is to go on TV. And they end up loving it and so forth. It’s never captivated me.
Republican voters have complained for years that their candidates don’t stand up to the media.

Also — Ted begging for a debate would be breaking an RNC rule. Hey Ted! Have some respect for how the system works! If you don’t respect the real rules, how do you expect to work with others and get things done???

Trump is breaking the rules of the insider political process game; Trump is an outsider, Rush says. Trump is exposing the fraud of the INSIDERS like Cruz, Washington Political Class, etc.

Cruz is simply copying what Jeb Bush tried a month ago:
it’s what losers do. they try to shine in the reelected light of the winners when their own light dims. on the other hand, the shinning winner can only be diminished by sharing his light with a loser, which is of course why winners shun sharing their light with losers.
Obvious conclusion that fails to be recognized. No wonder this country is in such disarray.
If Mr tough guy who is going to kick the Congress into line can't handle a tough debate, then what would do when the dems get slow pitches down the middle and he gets nothing but knuckleballs and sliders?

After every debate during presidential cycles, Republicans and conservatives come on FR and say, rightfully, "WHY does the Republican leadership allow our candidates to participate in these debates moderated by liberals and haters whose questions are totally designed in prejudice and bias to GET the Republican? Why do we do it every year? The Republicans need to refuse to do it with these mainstream media/Government controlled media asking the questions with their extreme leftist/Democrat party bias." EVERY debate season preceding every presidential election. Why doesn't the GOP chairman stop this, why AGREE to it, why not DEMAND to be treated fairly? Why do we need "moderators" asking questions anyway?
NOW we finally have a candidate with the cajones, the only one in this bunch, only one in living memory, to refuse to participate unless the debate host network removes the HIGHLY PARTISAN, unqualified, proven Trump hater, transparently seeking to curry favor with her left wing friends and colleagues.
And NOW the Cruzers on FR who weren't even around for all these previous debates in history, or knew or cared nothing about politics then, or were simply Democrats---NOW these people, to support their Establishment candidate, call Trump a COWARD, he's too afraid to face Megyn Kelly. Even Ted Goldman Sachs Cruz is saying it. That's pitiful, because THIS is EXACTLY what conservatives and republicans have wanted for years and years: to NOT let the host network get away with using moderators who are leftists intent upon embarrassing and trying to ruin our candidates, in this case Trump.
So Trump is THE one to set the precedent, to DO what everyone before just TALKED about, and the idiots who should be over on Commitment2Establishment so childishly say, Trump is afraid of Megyn Kelly! LOL!!!!!!!!!!
PS---Trump kicked ass in SIX DEBATES and no one laid a glove on him, and now the losers want another shot at the heavy weight champion. But they aren't in his class. So no rematch.

I think what he means is “Trump continues to redefine the rules”. Which is what conservatives have begged for for decades...
Won’t be listening to Rush after today. His fawning over Me Gyn was sickening. And, his pimping for Cruz....

You have to get to that position first. If he gets there in this manner, he will be a greater intimidating force to get this ship turned around.
Can anyone argue with that statement? We all know damn well it was rigged and sprung on Trump, he didn't like it and is now retaliating. This whole thing was a setup from the get go to be rid of Trump and he is pissed. He is leading the entire pack and does not need to go into another rigged debate. I applaud him for standing his ground. I blame the whole thing on the GOP establishment, Fox News and Megan Kelley but their plan backfired.
