Despite his ongoing feud with Fox News, Donald Trump honored a previous promise and appeared on The Factor tonight.
Bill O'Reilly tried a variety of tactics to convince Trump to participate in Fox's GOP debate tomorrow night. Nothing was working, so O'Reilly played his trump card, citing Christianity: "the tenet of forgiveness . . . don't you think that's the right thing to do?" Shot back Trump: "it probably is. But it's called an eye for an eye I guess also."

They overplayed their hand ... hopefully the MSM will start to learn that shilling for globalism is a costly proposition ..
Is that from Two Corinthians?

New York values?
What made the Donald look pathetic was that he admitted he had only agreed to do the interview if O’Reilly didn’t ask him to do the debate. A politician trying to control the press is absolutely anti-constitutional and shows again the arrogant, controlling side we know Trump has. This is not a man who can be trusted with the power of the executive branch. You will see him try to shut down the freedom of the press in countless ways if he had the power.
And Trump trying to pre-arrange what questions can be asked of him shows again his wimpiness, cowardice and thin-skinned nature. Why is he not tough enough to handle a simple question?
Very clever post.
I totally disagree awith you but that was well played.
The more I see of Trump’s behavior, the more I think there’s a good chance he would end up getting himself impeached.
I thought O’Reilly was really, really awful tonight. All he wanted to talk about was the debate, and trying to get Donald Trump to attend. “You have 60 seconds to tell the moderator you don’t like the question.” What twaddle! And when Donald said, “Let’s talk about something else”, O’Reilly brought up the forgiveness thing and brought the discussion right back to the debate. Truly sickening.
Never in a million years would you find out that Ted Cruz told an interviewer he would only do their show if they avoided certain questions.
If Donald was really brilliant, he would show up to the debate and announce in his opening remarks that he would not take any questions from Megyn Kelly. If she asked him anything, he could just say I’ll pass or stand there silently. He would have owned the debate with a real stunt there and made the statement he wanted to make. Not showing up just looks like he’s backing away from a confrontation which is cowardly.
Why should Trump make money for the Foxes. That is why they are all bent out of shape... They intended to cash in on him while treating him like yesterday’s trash.
What would you do?
Megyn Kelly wasn’t the real problem. The problem was the infantile press release about how Putin and Iran were going to threat Donald badly, and how Donald was going to ask his Twitter followers for instructions. A press release that was apparently penned by Roger Ailes himself!
I am going to watch the Trump Benefit event at Drake University — Sheslow Auditorium on CNN or OAN. I’ll let Rush and Cookie watch the debate and let me know if I missed anything.
BTW: What Trump is doing is all written down in The Art of the Deal. If you haven’t read it, you should. It will make the rest of the year much more understandable.
What made the Donald look pathetic was that he admitted he had only agreed to do the interview if O’Reilly didn’t ask him to do the debate
***********
I watched and you are stretching what was said on the air. Trump didn’t say he wouldn’t do the interview if the subject was raised.
Please. That’s EXACTLY what Trump said. It was discussed at length and clear as day to everyone who watched. Trump called out O’Reilly when O’Reilly asked would Donald do the debate if O’Reilly cancelled the milkshakes he was owed, and Trump said he only agreed to do the interview if O’Reilly didn’t ask him to do the debate. O’Reilly said Trump was telling the truth about that, that O’Reilly had only said he would “try” to avoid the question, and that he couldn’t resist when he thought about working his milkshake joke into it.
Did Jesus say that you must give in to all unreasonable demands of your enemy?
Isn't this the point Donald Trump is making. The United States turns it's cheek on trade, on immigration all to the detriment of this country.
Doesn't the enemy bear any responsibility in meeting their adversary half way?
By your implied definition Christians are the patsies of the world and they can't stand up for themselves because that wouldn't be turning the other cheek.
So you should Jesus up and start loving Donald and forgiving Donald for any wrongdoing he may have done to you.
So we shouldn't have fought world war II when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor?
Should we have had no response after the World Trade Center was destroyed?
How many lawsuits in this country are brought on by Christians? Shouldn't they have turned the other cheek? Or is it OK to get slapped and then sue for damages?
Nope. Take out the word ONLY and I might agree with what you have written, but that changes the meaning completly. Go back and relisten to the interview more carefully without any TDS bias.
I don’t need to. Trump clearly said O’Reilly not asking that was a pre-condition for the interview, and O’Reilly confirmed that Trump did ask for that and then went into a huge apologetic mode for asking it anyway. O’Reilly tried to tell his viewers he would never agree to a pre-condition by saying he told Donald he would try not to ask that but didn’t guarantee.
