That is what a stand-up guy would say, but Cruz is, of course, a Washington Political Class Insider and he plays for the same TEAM as the Main Stream Media. He's not going to do anything to harm them just as he isn't going to do anything to upset the status quo and the Uniparty. He's had plenty of chances. All talk, no action, like all Republicans in 2014, every promise was a lie, and they knew they had no intention of fulfulling their promises when they said them.

A stand-up guy would say, "To avoid any APPEARANCE of impropriety, my wife is resigning her senior executive position at Goldman Sachs and I am accepting no more contributions from GS, JP Morgan or any other Wall Street Banks. I am also returning the donations made to me by gay pressure groups when I have met with them in their homes at fundraisers in New York. (don't hold your breath.)
