An eyewitness and his daughter have provided the first outside account of the shootout between members of the Oregon militiamen who had seized the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge complex and a blocking force of FBI agents who kept the vehicle from escaping an attempted traffic stop.

There are elections this year.

One for POTUS, the other for Governor of Oregon.

Remembering that Mayor Rahm Emmanuel’s re-election last year in Chicago was protected with a delay in a video being released and charges being filed against police in the teenager shooting, I see a delay ahead.

We should be concerned that Robert “LaVoy” Fincicum’s family gets his body for burial ASAP......

Yeh do you know anybody anywhere that carries a weapon in their waistband? What a joke.

“No western rancher I know (and I know a LOT of them) carries a handgun in his waist band.”

LOL! Excellent point. I thought about it for a while, and I couldn’t think of a single rancher I know either who carries in the waistband, even occasionally. To those who don’t live in the rural west, they wouldn’t understand how ludicrous such an accusation is. A six shooter strapped on the hip is just HOW IT IS DONE.

They specialize in ludicrous statements.

At Klamath they tried to tell everyone that the reason...the science...that required the Ranchers to not get irrigation water was because the Sucker fish needed high water levels to survive.

They actually said that mud grubbing trash fish needed high water levels in the lake to survive.

You decide if these feds are:

1) So unbelievably ignorant that they could believe such a thing...or...

2) So unabashedly arrogant that they are in essence saying, “We will give you the most ridiculous reason you can imagine and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.”

My money is on number two.

The description shows it was a planned execution.

Hundreds of bullets? Because they kept going?

Just Waco all over again. Lynch, Comey and Obama wanted to kill some white people, put them on notice that the American day is over, the gangsters of the Left now own the dirt.

James Butler Hickock carried his pistols in the waistband, and did not need a caliber starting with .40 to put opponents down. Back then, then didn’t most men on horse carry cross draw? I thought the hip was all a Hollywood invention.

It’s been a long time since I knew guys would carry that way, and they were not ranchers.

Apparently they were invited to a community meeting in the neighboring county by the county sheriff and offered safe passage.

This was a set up and ambush.

On the hip is THE standard way to carry for the modern rancher/cowboy that still chooses to work off of a horse. It’s THE style, just as much as western boots (the complete opposite of Rubio’s boots), blue jeans with creases ironed into them, a big belt buckle, and a hat. There’s quite a few outfits that use 4-wheelers instead of horses anymore, but even so, most those guys carry on the hip too, with a rifle in a scabbard mounted on the front rack. I can’t say I’ve ever seen someone carrying a revolver cross-draw style, except for perhaps at some cowboy action shooting events.

I carry inside the waistband, but it’s not a revolver, and I’m not a cowboy, and currently don’t have any cattle I have to move.

Back in the day, I dated a young lady whose mother carried pistol in her brassiere.

Her mom was, uh, “heavy set.”

Let me guess; Center for Biological Diversity was behind the lawsuits?

Michelle Cummings shows how you wear your revolvers when you shoot from the saddle.

Both cross-draw.

So you think the Feds should own 80% of Nevada? Etc? Control the lives of ranchers in any respect whatsoever? Why does the actual facts of this incident matter? If the rancher did “make a false move” is that the cover for the Feds that will allow you to ease back into your chair? Seriously?

Jerk. I said no such thing. I am simply waiting to see the video as to what actually happened with this specific incident. I have serious issues with what is being done with sending those two men back to prison and with many fed land policies out west. Doesn’t mean I automatically assume the feds criminally shot the rancher in question, although past history makes that a distinct possibility. But I ain’t going all BLM (Black Lives Matter, not Bureau of Land Management) and buying the hands up meme without some kind of additional proof. If the feds release the video and it shows the guy charging the cops, well, he got the same treatment Michael Brown got and for the exact same reason. If the video shows otherwise or they don’t release it, then it shows they have something to hide.
