WEST DES MOINES, Iowa â A cluster of super PACs backing Ted Cruz pledged on Wednesday to donate $1.5 million to veterans groups if Donald Trump agrees to a one-on-one debate with Cruz.
âIn response to Senator Ted Cruzâs challenge of a one-on-one debate, the principal donors of the Keep the Promise I and II super PACs are offering presidential candidate Donald Trump a truly fantastic deal, pledging to donate $1.5 million to charities committed to helping veterans if Mr. Trump agrees to debate Senator Cruz in Iowa,â reads a release from Keep the Promise, the group of super PACs backing the Texan. âThis money is in addition to the millions of proceeds available to the veterans as a share of the revenues that this debate could secure from a host network.â

Right? He should be center stage as a result of this cluster*****. If he were a true man, he’d relish in this opportunity.
But he and his supporters are not joyful.
They are defensive and angry.
Let’s see what the ratings look like tomorrow morning.
Cruz Center Stage Faux Debate vs Trump Center Stage Vet Fundraiser.
If Trump wins the ratings, that is all the Media will talk about going
into the Caucus. Cruz’s performance, good or bad will get lost in the
Trump rating news.
Just giving you a friendly warning so you can stock up on your nerve
pills before tomorrow morning.
I think they’ve moved beyond defensive and angry.
They are grasping at anything they can and unraveling.

Helping Vets is a long time tradition for Donald Trump.

As a long time member, I find it a compliment to FR that we have been invaded. It must mean that this little old small, and low budget web page, has quite a following.
What infuriates me are all of the FReepers who say that Trump is ‘playing politics with our veterans’. They’ve been heaping scorn on him for doing this for two freaking days.
Trump has ALWAYS had vets as a priority and he’s actually DOING something about it.
Let me tell you WHO is playing politics with out vets.
CRUZ AND iCARLY.
They’re the ones saying, “We’ll pay $1.5 (or $2.5 - in the case of iCARLEY) million to the vets on the *condition* that Trump debates Cruz.
They’re the ones dangling the money over the heads of our wounded warriors and veterans and promising to withhold the money if Trump doesn’t play ball.
To hold that much money over the heads of vets as if they were dangling a cat toy? Sick, sick, SICK.
NOT THAT IS DISGUSTING. THAT is playing politics over the bodies of our wounded warriors.
“To make it clear that Trump is only doing his veteransâ stunt as another one of his cynical, odious self-promotions.”
This is called a win-win. With Trump, the vets win no matter what.
What Cruz and iCarly are doing is dangling money over the bodies of wounded warriors like a cat toy. If Trump doesn’t dance to their tune, they say ‘sorry boys’ and keep their money.
Yep...a 10-year noob...You sure are a moron haha!
Yup - and they don’t get how craven they are because they are professional politicians used to dangling money to deserving Americans like that.
Perhaps you haven’t been around long enough to realize that we always get new FReepers during a presidential election...
I will take SeaHawkFan’s compliment. He thinks my posts are so good I must be a plant rather than a real person who is enthused about a candidate. If you think a noob like me is that good - thank you good sir! Now let us make peace.
Does this prove that outsiders dictate what Ted Cruz does?
