Mostly this appears to be Ailes vs. Trump.

The final straw was they made a smart ass remark about him on Twitter, so why would he do them any favors by debating so they can get ratings and cash in? Screw them.

Yes. In this case, when Trump says “Kelly Maygun” he is referring to Roger Ailes directly. DT indicated that the press release from FNC was likely okayed by Ailes and that set him off because it was a deliberate taunt.
A few hours later, Trump said he would talk with Murdock and only Murdock about fixing the situation. Even when DT said Kelly should be removed as moderator, I believe he was looking straight at Ailes as head honcho of FNC needing to be removed.
