I think Ailes put Fox News first, in his mind. MK is just a piece of skirt that Ailes and Murdoch hide behind. She is willing to do it so she takes the heat and rightly so. No sympathy for her.

I notice FOX uses women, a lot. The male FOX powers that be are rarely out in the open.

Add to that the fact Ailes was calling Ivanka and Melania when Donald wouldn’t talk to him.

I’m guessing Murdoch owed ValJar a favor.

Dan Rather in a skirt. Variations on a theme.

Nahh, it wasn’t supporting her so much as it would look like revenge when they surprised Trump with Google’s YouTube questioner picks - a rabid islamist, an illegal alien and a (ex?) soldier who does tech reviews.

Ailes has skin in the game with Megyn Kelly. He’s signed her to a multi-million dollar contract, I’m sure.

Here is the thing. The problem isn’t just Kelly. The Fox News debates, both the second tier and the first tier, were both embarrassingly bad. Not just Kelly, all of them and most especially including Chris Wallace.

All of the candidates ought to have refused to go back to Fox without a promise that none of these people would be involved in any future debate. Several of them complained from the stage about the pathetic quality of the questions, they ought to have stood up and demanded better.

So while Trump takes the hit, he ought not take the hit alone. The only really good debate was the Fox Business debate, from my memory, but the Fox News debate was the worst out of all of them.

Roger Ailes chose to run his own operation. There’s a big difference.

You can’t have any Candidate running for Public office dictating who moderates the Debate. If you want a debate like the Democrats got well watch the Democrats debate.. Enough said.. Trump handled himself really well in the last debate with Megyn Kelly his answer was great. Was it a fair question? I don’t know.. I guess what you say in public is fair game.. All I know is it helped him a lot!!!!

I agree, AILES in trying to protect his anti-Trump host has ensured Trump the presidency.....sweet.

Read the questions she asked Trump; and tell everyone exactly why they were wrong to be asked?

I heard them read yesterday for the first time and wondered what the big deal was?

Quoting things Trump has said in the past; and asking Trump why his words won’t be an issue with the Dem candidate he would face?

It is a big deal because Trump thrives on controversy. He creates controversy and uses it to keep his name in the news.

They lost that much tonight as 30 second ad rates fell from 750,000 to 150,000

I was surprised the RNC allowed Fox News to “host” another debate. Debate 1 was an embarrassment.

Daylight is dangerous to certain creatures of the dark. The Fox News brand is going to get a stake through the heart.

What I also remember is her snarky question to Cruz about God. Had no place in that debate.

Really? That puts the rates within ad budget of Preparation H. Prime market with all that butt hurt.

Megyn crossed 'the' line for Fox. She pounced, rather than ask the question directed at Trump.....in short, whether or not she meant to be, she was rude and unprofessional.

Chris and Megyn have been poking at the Trump persona for several months now....keep hitting at the dog and the dog will eventually bite back.

Trump having left this debate standing, should quietly close the door like a man and drop the matter once and for all.

By the way, no one around here blames him for not attending tonight's debate...once again, the set up is obvious.

When they get down to fifty grand or less, maybe they’ll get some takers just for the entertainment value of watching Rubio and Cruz duke it out.

Has conservatives not been saying for years that the GOP should not agree to certain debates in the past>

Yes they have and now some stand up I read you saying candidates should not decide who moderates.

WOW.

agree and now I have read on here a freeper stating the GOP should not decide to who moderates. !!!

No wonder our side cannot get power when certain conservatives pick and choose their arguments and then change their views according to who they want.

Fox News ran those debates in violation of FEC regulations.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/11/110.13

(b) Debate structure. The structure of debates staged in accordance with this section and 11 CFR 114.4(f) is left to the discretion of the staging organizations(s), provided that:
(1) Such debates include at least two candidates; and
(2) The staging organization(s) does not structure the debates to promote or advance one candidate over another.
