Megyn Kelly admits to Ted Cruz the record shows he does not support legalization.
Fox News / Youtube ^ | 1/29/15

After the debate Megyn Kelly admitted to Cruz that after thoroughly reviewing his record on whether or not he supported legalization, she believes his record does support his argument that his amendments were really poison pill amendments and that he never actually supported legalization.

That is EXACTLY my take on it.

The plan was to take both out in last night’s debate, but only Cruz showed up and rather than change strategy, they just hit him, full force. Trump dodged a bullet, but then again, he’s BRILLIANT. Cruz never saw it coming...he was so excited to finally have Trump ‘out of the way’ that he didn’t realize how much he, too, is DESPISED by the GOPe.

But Cruz was the last threat to Trump, and though they may have taken him out last night...they must feel like pure crap.

So don’t be surprised to see some really pretty puff pieces about how Cruz pulled himself up as a little boy when others were teasing him, and how his father had to dodge more bullets than Hillary in Yugoslavia to get what would be Ted to freedom.

But it will be too little, too late. The GOPe BLEW IT last night, and Trump proved the GENIUS that he is.

“...and that Trump is for citizenship after a “touch-back” “

Might you have a link for where Trump promises CITIZENSHIP after a touch-back. I don’t remember hearing that.

of course he doesn’t !

and it’s laughable to even suggest it.

That’s like saying George Wallace at his height was secretly for integration and mixing of the races.

It strips all credibility from anyone who suggests it’s true.

I am for Trump at this point, but there is no need to lie about the others to prop Trump up, he can do that on his own.

I would get people out and then have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal…. Lie during the debate then admit you were wrong after the debate. Sounds like Candy Crowley. Is there anyone here who still believes Fox is fair and balanced?

Well put. Sums the sellout up and is shameful.

Foreigners brought in to replace American citizens. Exactly what the Hispanics are here to do to blacks and working class whites.

At this point, what difference does it make?

Everyone who watched the debate or read about it after thinks Cruz flipped on immigration and won't admit it.

The truth no longer matters. The outcome is what matters.

And Cruz took heavy shots to the basis of his proposition to the American people.

It's his fault really. He chose to participate in the assassination.

The real star of the show last night was Sergeant First Class John Wayne Walding who Mr. Trump met while visiting the huge gun show in Vegas recently. His speech and his friends who joined him on the stage gave the show the authenticity that was needed. The morons at CNN cut away to the liberal sniper Bob Beckel while Sgt. Walding was speaking but CSPAN captured him in all his glory and he was magnificent.

Yeah, I remember the good old days, when everybody was raving about what a genius Karl Rove was.

Cruz showed up, took on all the attacks and defended himself quite well. He also was able to give his vision of America under a Cruz administration to the viewers and let the voters decide for themselves how he stacks up side by side with the other candidates.

He didn't duck and hide like the supposed front runner. As he joked, he didn't leave the stage because they were asking mean questions.

Expedite system for work visa’s, which is needed.

Back of the line for all deported illegals and ones at front of line as we need them, jobs for Americans first, immigrant workers getting work visas only. That is not Touchback!

In the link you provide of CNN Trump interview he also says NO CITIZENSHIP! Trump is then asked “ No citizenship”? Trump replies “ no citizenship”.

You NoDRodee could have told the truth since you have the link but chose not to.

Trump deport them all, none get back in as citizens.

I was just reading winners and losers of last night’s debate, and Cruz was clearly in the Loser category. Translated to Canadian, that may equal a hoser.

People right here on FR have pushed the idea that Cruz flip-flopped on immigration, which is a lie. Trump, otoh, has been all over the place on immigration.

I don’t dispute “legal status”, but I do dispute your use of the term “citizenship” when that is not what Trump has promised...as far as I know, but I have been wrong in the past.

I’ll not trust Kelly any more on Cruz than I will on Trump.

Sadly, she has become a shill.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform

>He talks about a pause in legal immigration (near the end). A pause may be a good thing, but it’s only a pause.

>Elsewhere, he talks about re-focusing legal immigration on people with skills or high-paying jobs. He wants to enlarge the H1-B program (he left that out of his position paper, but has said it a lot of times.) Re-focusing legal immigration is not ending legal immigration. It is changing immigration it. Ted Cruz talked about welfare dependency among immigrant population last night. So, Trump and Cruz are on the same sheet of music, at least in broad terms. I haven’t heard from Rubio about tying legal status or permanent residency to being self-supporting.

>Trump talks about ending birthright citizenship. Trump and Cruz share this position. I haven’t heard from Rubio about this either.

>The touch-back. For some reason, Trump didn’t include the touch-back or the expanded H1-Bs in his position paper. All Republicans want to deport illegals who commit crimes. Trump and Cruz are clear about being against illegals who are on welfare. Trump endears himself to his supporters by saying he will deport law-abiding, self-supporting illegals as well. Cruz doesn’t say that. I think this can be taken to mean that law-abiding, self-supporting illegals can qualify for legal status. Maybe as part of a compromise comprehensive immigration reform package. So Trump is tougher than Cruz on immigrants. Even those who are law-abiding and self-supporting will be deported. But ... Trump has says they can come back.

To me the keyword is AMNESTY. Legal status also = amnesty.

And an honest question here.... how is an expedited means back into the country considered going to the back of the line???

LOL!

Mistress Megyn, Queen of S&M, a little "hard" on your boy last night?

Cruz should have been as smart as Trump. But, that's why he's behind...
