That’s all well and good and nice-sounding, but these are people who aren’t voting. The usual tactics aren’t working on them. They need a little tough love as a motivator.

Absolutely no one is suggesting these be sent out to everybody. They were sent out to a narrow targeted group. You have no idea what kind of voters these people are or what they respond to. Treating everyone like a special little snowflake is not what everybody responds to. And if the envelope didn’t look like something urgent, many people would never even open it.

Tough love is for family and friends. I’m not looking for love, tough or otherwise, from politicians.

So Trump sends out nice Christmas Cards with rolling fire logs and Christmas Cheer and Cruz sends out Voting Violations....Again, what a maroon.

So you imagine the way to get them to vote “FOR” you is to shame them? Sometimes the personal touch helps. The sweetest thing to a person’s ears is their own name. Put someone who is particularly good at relating to people in charge of getting to that narrow targeted group. Build them up to make them think their act of joining Ted’s crew at a caucus will save the world. Make them feel like the most important member absolutely necessary for Ted to win. People like to feel important, needed, a part of something. They may want to be asked personally.

As for response, I can pretty well assure you that Cruz will get more people voting against him than for him from this stunt. Because whether one or two are motivated by all this “tough love” to vote for him or not, the blowback from this idiotic attempt to GOTV is devastating.

If someone doesn't care enough to vote, doesn't care enough to spend time researching the candidates/issues, I don't WANT them voting! Why do you think we're getting the people voted into office that we are now? That's the kind of results Democrats want.

Jedi, they were sent to a small group but the national news coverage of it will not help Ted. He could have made a report card giving other candidates failing grades, asked them to vote for him and included address of caucus and a phone # in case you need a ride to caucus site. This is shaming. Majority of non voters probably tossed it in trash unopened, but with social media, everyone in country will learn about it and might hurt Ted in other states.
