MSN News ^ | Jan 30 2016

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Saturday tried to placate the increasingly vocal critics of her open-door policy for refugees, insisting that asylum seekers from Syria and Iraq would go home once the conflicts there had ended.

Merkel, despite appearing increasingly isolated over her policy, has resisted pressure from some conservatives to cap the influx of refugees, or to close Germany's borders. A record 1.1 million migrants arrived in Germany last year.

They aren’t there because of the war, they are there because some stupid society was willing to allow these impoverished people to come into their country and receive benefits that are more significant as to what they could earn in their homeland attempting to earn a living. Easy money...

“Shia’s, Sunni’s and Wahabbi’s have been killing each other in the name of their “religion” since the Seventh Century.”

But we’re at the top of all of their lists of those who “need killing.” It’s “second order killing” to kill each other.

'Planet Earth' Really Hates Donald Trump: “People are in disbelief" "People are kind of scared"M

I thought Europe was outraged over Trumps comments on Muslims? Merkel is starting to sound like Trump. Sadly it's to little to late Frau Merkel, you've done more damage to the German people then Hitler. At least there was a Germany after Hitler, there will not be a Germany after Merkel.

“Merkel’s not former stasi”

Merkel, like her father, was a member of the East German Communist Party and a Stasi agent.

Merkel was born in Hamburg West Berlin. Her father was born a Catholic but became a Lutheran minister. He was the only German known to move from West Germany to East Germany in the 1950’s. From the late 1950’s through the 1980’s Merkel’s family was allowed to travel freely between East to West Germany. They also were allowed to possess two automobiles. This would not have happened if Merkel’s father had not had a special relationship with the communist regime, since such freedom and privileges for a Christian pastor and his family would have been otherwise impossible in East Germany.

Her fathers role was to keep track of Lutherans in East Germany and report their actions to his bosses at Stasi.

Angela Merkel was a member of the local Free German Youth(FDJ) the youth organization of the Communist Party. She was given special tutoring in Russian from Party members and won several Lenin prizes. Later, at the Academy of Sciences, she became a member of the FDJ district board and secretary for “Agitprop” (Agitation and Propaganda).

Merkel’s privilege of attending the university and going on for her doctorate would not have been possible for someone who was not a favored member of the Communist Party.

Her favorite professor and close companion at the University was Stasi agent and recruiter Hans-Jorg Osten. Though he was married, the Stasi agent and Merkel were inseparable and worked closely together.

The article you linked to has only one source, Merkel herself. It was impossible to attend the University in East Germany without being recruited by Stasi and Germans knew that. Therefore Merkel had to make up a story.

After the fall of the Berlin wall, Merkel rose very quickly in East German politics and after the unification of Germany Merkel became a high ranking public official.

It is likely that her Stasi background and Communist Party connections helped but there is no proof.

The words that caught my eye were the last ones in your post: "It is likely that her Stasi background and Communist Party connections helped but there is no proof."

I gave one source; you give no sources.

I don't convict without sources and without proof.

It seems "likely" to me that Merkel's political foes would have exploited information about her supposed "Stasi" background if, in fact, she were provably implicated. I have seen no proof, only accusation. If there were proof, her political foes would by now have destroyed her career with it.

There is only one way to get them out and that is to cut off their benefits.

Frau Merkel STILL doesn't get it. War or no war, Germans want the Muslim plague out of their country. It is that simple.

Thanks for the info. The proof although often only circumstantial is there for all to see. If people demand sources from what are often only mainstream outlets or compromised government agencies then they they should just choose to believe what they like because there won’t be any direct hard evidence out there.

People who have no direct hard evidence, are understandably dismissive of a demand for direct, hard evidence.

Sweden which is called "the rape capital of Europe" 1 in FOUR women have been raped by the Muslim hordes in that country.

You might want to double check that stat.

At 66.5/100,000 per year, it'll take 376 years before it reaches 1 in 4.

Unless the Muslims take over, then it'll be 100% per year.

“It is likely that her Stasi background and Communist Party connections helped but there is no proof.”

What I said there was no proof of her still being Stasi during her political career. I acknowledge that, though I think it is probable that she still has Stasi connections. Everything I said about her past was factual. It is not open to dispute.

This is of ongoing interest to me. “Beyond dispute,” like “There’s a consensus,” “The debate is over,” (e.g. “global climate crisis”) is a claim often made but not often proved. Can you provide links to sources?
