I am usually skeptical about quotes that are often attributed to Hitler, even if they are consistent with his ideology.
Looks like you are quoting a website that admires Hitler; not a good thing:

I saw the quotation in the Washington Post.
Thanks for posting that. History is written by the victors. Or should I say the “narrative” is written by the victors. Even in peacetime truth seems to be the first casualty.
But as I reflect on what I just said, I realize that we’re never in a true state of peace, that we’re always competing, trying to get the upper hand on someone and lying is definitely one of the weapons used.
And this very political year, we’re definitely seeing that weapon widely employed.
