ETL, the discourse on FR has taken an ominous turn during the last couple of months. I share your appreciation for the information Beck brought to light a few years ago. Your pictures highlight a few of the high points. And I agree that Beck has his own personality challenges. But to hear FR now - Beck is bat shit crazy and needs a straight jacket. I’ve considered it a waste of time and an exercise in masochism to post anything close to what you attempted in this thread.
I was originally a Cruz supporter. Then I was attracted to the boldness of Trump. While I agree with most of what Trump says, I’ve very recently come to see him as, indeed, a dangerous narcissistic and sociopathic over-reaction to the status quo. It would appear that people have become so frustrated with the betrayal of the GOPe (and rightfully so) that they’ve lost the larger perspective. Obama has sown seeds of evil that have lead to an environment conducive to a reverse mirror image of his administration - but with possibly an even greater tendency toward despotism. The attraction is temptingly irresistible. So much of it sounds like such a welcome breath of fresh air. All authoritarian regimes do - in the beginning.

I have to say I’m feeling pretty pessimistic right now. It’s looking like Trump is going to be the GOP nominee, and I have grave concerns about him, despite agreeing with many of his stated positions - we’ll see if he sticks with those if he’s elected. I’m quite amazed at the support he’s gained, especially here on FR.
I really hope Trump surprises me, and excels at being President - but I think the odds are against it. That said, heaven help us if a Dem is elected, not least due to the likelihood of several SCOTUS justices being appointed in the next few years.
