I like Cruz but the support I had for him has been slipping. I can’t imagine what the heck he was thinking when he has had Beck support him and campaign with him. Does Cruz not know that IMHO (and I’m not alone) that Beck has seemed to go off the deep end? If he doesn’t know, why not? Who is running his campaign that approved that stupid Voter Violation mailing that was sent to Iowa voters?

As smart as he seems to be, some poor judgment on these issues as well as the NBC issue. Just bite the bullet and get it over with. A couple of folks have already sued because of this and the Loony Grayson in FL threatened to do so if he became the nominee. Not good for Cruz or the Republican party or the 2016 election if it’s not resolved (what if he becomes the nominee and then it’s ruled he can’t be Prez - that would be dismal - and you know the Dims will search out Lib judges to rule the way they want. And, with the current SCOTUS, I wouldn’t be so sure that they would rule to support Cruz. Just my $.02 FWIW

-- What happens to the campaign if Rubio wins, or finishes a strong 2nd in Iowa? --

He gets the focus that was on Cruz, and the race becomes Trump v. Rubio. Trump has a new target, and we get to have the birther debate all over again, with a different fact pattern.

At some point, Cruz will throw in with Rubio. Cruz is toast. Rubio isn't toast, not quite yet. Neither is Turtle-man Bush.

So if what you are saying is true, how are all of these conservatives able to ignore it? If they were so outraged that Obama was not a NBC, why are they not giving the same scrutiny to Cruz?

I have no idea, but NBC sounds like born in America to this yocal.

Ted’s mom was an American...if my wife (ancestors came over in 1700s) was pregnant and we went to Canada and she gave birth, the baby would still be an American.

No one is disputing Ted's US citizenship. He has derivative citizenship transmitted thru his Amcit mother (i>jus sanguinis. The question is whether he is considered a natural born citizen as specified in the Constitution as one of the conditions for eligibility to be President. The issue has never been litigated in the courts.

Ted was a Canadian citizen at birth. Canada has birthright citizenship like we do. Anyone except the children of accredited diplomats are automatically citizens of the US. The same holds true for Canada. Cruz formally renounced his Canadian citizenship 15 months ago. Until that time, he was a dual national of the US and Canada.

If Trump wins, on of the reason twill be the tactics used by the other candidates, their supporters and the Conservative media establishment like NRO, Erick Erickson, Town Hall, etc.

Attacking Trump supporters for supporting Trump as being low intelligence white trash racists was really really stupid politically. Screaming insults at people then expecting them to listen to anything you have to say was stupid.

Better tactics would of been to praise the way Trump beats the media, thank him for “parting the Red Sea of Media bias” and making the campaign about issues that are important to average voters. State “I really like Trump but am worried that he will follow through on his promises. I have a hard time trusting Trump”.

The Conservative media MIGHT of had some effect on Trumps support IF they had made a rational case on “can we trust Trump: instead of following the Leftist’s Media’s SOP of the infantile snark and the bile laced personal attack.

The result is the barrage of attack on Trump have merely hardened his support and caused his people the Conservative media MIGHT of been able to sway to simply stop listening to the attackers.

I would not take any tweets seriously. The CIA cannot operate in the USA. IF he were getting added security it would be FBI, Homeland Security, Secret Service or from Delta.

Also, NO one one would talking since they would not want to compromise Op Sec.

They don't ignore it. They just believe that Cruz is NBC, for various reasons. Some know better and are part of the "fool the public" machine.

-- NBC sounds like born in America to this yocal. --

It's at least that. That's the easy part to show, in case law and in the text of the constitution.

But, it's popular now to equate family with nation. NWO aims to dissolve national identity. Jus sanguinas does that, substitutes family for nation. Three, six, ten generations from now, the idea of "nation" merges with the notion of "ancestry," and we are all just citizens of the world.

I have to give Trump cudos. Rather then walk into a media staged ambush because he is worried about how it will effective his political image, Trump said “Nope, not only am I not going to play your game by your rules, I am actively going to war against you and win”.

Trump going on Fox nukes the lie that “he is afraid” of them. No, what he is doing is not mindlessly walking into a media ambush. He is doing what good candidate does. Manage the media rather then being managed by the media.

Yep and that is the whole problem with all the supposed “Conservative” media Fox, National Review, etc.

NO one is going after the serious issues. It all show boating.

The answer to the Trump debate ambush attempt by FNC

If you share the same religion as the Theocracies that want to rule the world with their religion, it’s only logical for people for freedom of religion to have some skepticism.

Also, if you have escaped those theocratic hierarchies, you could consider switching your religion now that you are free of forced worship.

I think going on BOR the night before and way he hosted the Vets event fixed the damage. The Vets evernt was suberly managed. Trump was smart, he stayed OFF camera a lot of the time and let Huckabee, Santorum and the Vets do most the speaking.

I think the anti Trump team has it half right. Ducking the Debate should of hurt Trump but because of the way he managed it, it will not.

Ted is not used to being under pressure. He has held government jobs most of his life. Now he is starting to crack. It’s sad. It’s better we weed the weak ones out now and move to the general.

The only question on nbc is whether or not Cruz was born on American soil (overseas military bases considered American soil). If he was born on foreign soil then he's still an American citizen but it's a derived citizenship based on law.

Naturalized Citizen Law & Legal Definition

A naturalized citizen is a person who was born an alien, but has lawfully become a citizen of the United States under the U.S. Constitution and laws.

Respectfully disagree. There are no respected legal authorities (Laurence Tribe aside) who think Cruz is ineligible.

Actually Tribe has said that if litigated, he believes Cruz would be found eligible, but it is not "settled law" as Cruz has said. And there are plenty of respected legal authorities who state that Cruz is not eligible. The point is that it needs to be litigated.

Is Ted Cruz a 'natural born Citizen'? Not if you're a constitutional originalist.

Tribe--Under Ted Cruz’s own logic, he’s ineligible for the White House

If you recall, Tribe and Ted Olson were commissioned in 2008 by the Senate to determine if McCain was eligible to run. Based on the opinion, the Senate issued a non-binding resolution finding McCain eligible thru both jus solis and jus sanguinis. Tribe/Olson also gratuitously added a statement finding Obmama eligible because he was born in Hawaii.

One of my concerns is that an Anchor Baby could become a US President down the road if we only use the stipulation that they were “born on US soil”. While I think there is perhaps language in the Constitution that wouldn’t allow this, it’s really a matter of interpretation. If someone is here illegally, then IMHO a baby should not be considered a US citizen as the parents had no allegiance to the USA; however, we know many, especially libs, will look at that differently, especially if it’s to their advantage.

As far as I know, Trump has been the only one talking about Anchor Babies.

I’ve read that the Admin has sent groups to 25 US cities to teach folks how to prep illegals to become citizens prior to Nov 2016. Guitterez (who makes my skin crawl) is doing something similar with another group. Anyone know what is happening with Obummer’s illegal EO’s that the judge stopped last fall? I haven’t seen anything on it in quite some time.

Yeah the lame excuse Fox uses doesn’t sell. “Oh we were going to do the videos to all the candidates but only got to Rubio/Cruz because we ran out of time.”

We all know full well if Trump had been there the ONLY candidate to get the video treatment would of been Trump before they “ran out of time”.

So the voting scorecard mailer didn’t merit a 10-minute discussion on the Fox panel like the Trumpeteers were hopin

Bad political tactics to snark like that. People are not going to change their vote to your canidate when you spend all your time insulting them.

Hi Johnnie,

I totally agree. I think they were gunning for Trump and he knew it. And, his would have been the only video(s) that would have been played. Fox had to scramble to rearrange their schedule and some of their questions.

As an aside, I heard Rubio earlier and he’s on FNC now and he bugs the cr@p out of me with his mortar mouth - sheesh - is he always like this or does he drink a gallon of Red Bull every day. Either way, not normal.
