First let us thank AB for doing this thread every week and so reliably. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, thank you all commenters for sharing of thoughts.
And now let us thank RG for his insight into the Trump debacle.
Going to be singing at the 10 am mass this morn but will be back and will be posting.
As for MY insight into the FNC Trump issue....here’s what I think...y’all remember when Trump met with Reince Priebus at the RNC?
Trump came out all smiles and said it will be just fine, the RNC will back him should he get the nomination.
I think that Trump made a deal with the RNC that he should sit out one debate right before the Iowa primary just to allow all the other candidates a chance to shine.
Then, as Priebus explained to Trump, if Trump should STILL win Iowa the national committee will back him full force.
I’ve got no info on this save my gut because no way does a front-running candidate drop out of a debate because of ....Megyn Kelly?
Nah....Trump made this deal, it’s my hunch.
And later, as I promise, we shall discuss men putting their hands all over me, not that I’m complaining.
But this past week I went to my Vet, and yeah this is a guy who, through the years, has been a bit flirtatious. Goodness he’s ten years younger than me but he’s handsome and he is active in local Republican politics and reads my Blog.
Heh.
so last week took two dogs for appointment and....you got to smile, he gives a demonstration of how a dog’s back feels when fleas walk on.
And, indeed, he proceeds to use his hand with wiggly fingers to run his hand up and down my back and I just wonder ....what the hell?
He proceeds to talk politics and, in general, acts real excited, had the whole vet clinic shut down to accommodate me.....can’t make this stuff up.
Am I bragging? Well no. Cause if I walked into a room, just me, men would not be falling over me. But I write a Blog read by everybody who’s anybody in Delaware (and face it, that’s not very many people) and this is perceived as power.
Men love power.
Heh.
We could go on about the state senator who physically picks me up....seriously, every time he sees me. Or perhaps the county lawyer who is actually coming to my house as a new fence rebuilt that it not be over the property line. Or we could delve into the priest who kisses me every time he sees me but again, I AM NOT COMPLAINING!
My goodness there’s more and a again, while I don’t complain, I am learning a thing or two.
About power and believe that the woman’s liberated 35 year old Pat would have sniffed and screamed at these men and their wandering hands but the 65 year old Pat does quite enjoy an exercise in how fleas feel on a dog’s back. The 65 year old Pat is going to reward that county lawyer, whose book I reviewed by the way, like he’s never been rewarded before....yes I will.
Heh.
And the priest? He can kiss me all day, he can kiss me even on the lips.
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost but I simply cannot make this stuff up.

Fish-my husband is a veterinarian and the only thing a vet should be touching is his patient. I would find another vet a soon as possible.

Trump has said repeatedly that Megyn Kelly wasn’t the reason he dropped out. He didn’t like the snotty memo that Fox News put out, mocking him for having a Twitter poll on whether he should attend the debate or not.
