Sort of... what Hugh loves most about Trump is that Trump is a great interview. And unlike most of his elitist comrades Hugh has started to recognize the issues driving so many conservatives to back Trump. But I think it’s a mistake to believe that Hewitt is on board the Trump bandwagon. Hugh has made a career of being a GOPe court follower and that isn’t going to change, he’s a true believer. And he quite obviously worships at the shrine of credentials and inside politics, and the Trump revolution is going to destroy all that.

Hewitt is conflicted between his desires to save his ratings and trash Trump. We're going to see a lot more of that.

Yes. Good observations.

Hugh can pick up in things fast. Or slow. But he does sometimes pick up in things that others never do.

But in this case, I think it is because Trump has become a GOPe candidate.
