How wonderful for you. Your children must have loved being raised by such an example of perfection, capable of judging everything without any worries about facts.

Right.

Japan and other countries are now at NEGATIVE interest rates. Imagine that ... giving banks money to borrow money. A bank could offer zero interest loans and still make a profit.

And right now, the only solution even for a conservative might be the mother of all quantitative easings combined with TIGHT spending there-on-out ...

I was referring to criminals who try to avoid being photographed at the ATM and hold a gun on the victim while he/she punches in the numbers.

In a free society of 320 million people, I will guess that several million criminals are completely unfazed by the risk of severe punishment because they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or they are mentally ill, or because they are remorselessly evil sociopaths.

I recommend owning and using a personal firearm when dealing with the criminals described above.

But the fact remains that most potential criminals do weigh the risks and rewards of their crimes.

The number of individuals and businesses that use cash goes down every year, which means that criminal opportunities also go down every year.

Is that the one Glenn Beck had made or requested to be made?

Correct. As the move to a cashless society takes shape, transactions will move underground. A few people are not ‘getting’ what the underground will look like. They are not seeing how that underground system will work, because like most of us...we’re law abiding citizens.

Gold, silver, copper, platinum, diamonds, on the high end of this.

They are touting this as a way to reduce crime, but in reality it will cause crime to increase. As a 1st World nation we have no idea how the 3rd World really functions.

Denmark, Sweden, and later in this thread a few other posts show China and India as well moving to this ‘cashless’ system. Interesting thing was the propaganda video from China and the gal using her smart phone...in her right hand to swipe/tap etc. her purchases...

I see that as yet another part of the multi-pronged attack they’re going to use to curtail law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment right.

It seems that the steps entities such as the EU have taken towards consolidating their member countries’ currencies, are steps on the path to cashless society. There’s been “crazy talk” (because it’s not so crazy after all) about consolidating the NAFTA countries’ currencies.

Bloomberg is reporting that this years banking ‘stress test’ will be for the emerging negative interest rates in Europe. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-02-02/rates-less-than-zero-is-bank-stress-fed-wants-to-test-in-201

We’re not as far behind as many would like to think.
