Just saw the interview. It's evident the MSM's job is going to be to destroy Trump and Palin. Not so fast MSM, Palin and Trump own the media now. Americans are a lot more savvy about the MSM. Not going to work and in fact the harder they try, the more it's going to backfire. Bring it on!

Trump/Palin 2016!

Ted Cruz father was Cuban, he was born in the US...

No, Ted’s father was born in Cuba and became a naturalized US citizen in 2005 after he renounced his Canadian citizenship.

Matt Lauer is one of the worst. I can’t believe Palin wasted her time.

Boy do I disagree. Trump has said over and over that he likes Cruz, but he needs to get his citizenship issue decided, because if he doesn’t, the dems will go after him, and in fact, they already have.

As for Scalia, he commented that he did not like his statements saying Blacks should go to less challenging colleges, and that stats say that Black professionals came from less than challenging colleges (paraphrased), in that same interview, he stated that he felt Scalia was terrific but not as consistent as his favorite Clarence Thomas.

They say he’s good at making people mad and making them hate him. I’d like to see him at AG. He would investigate.

Lauer was awful.

Like Trump called out O’Reilly for breaking his pledge to Trump about discussing the debate, Sarah called out Lauer about breaking a pledge to stick to the subject matter.

When Lauer asked if she would back her mythically offensive statement about Obama, Sarah nailed him by asking what statement, and what was “offensive”.

Lauer sputtered, because he had no answer.

Palin is learning from Trump how to crush the media. It’s the only way to do it.

They knew if they told her Lauer was going to talk about her son she wouldn’t go on the show. Dishonest NBC.

Matt attacked Trump’s campaign right after their phone call in segment was over. Its to me like inviting a guest into your living room and as soon as the go out of the room you trash them. Classless Lib MSM always bashing GOP candidates. Not going to work with Palin and Trump.

Jeff Sessions for VP...(Although I don’t know what to think about 2024 with Sessions as VP)

A new “rising star” for 2024??? What do you think, ichabod?

As for Scalia, he commented that he did not like his statements saying Blacks should go to less challenging colleges...

Trump was mistaken about these being Scalia DIRECT words/ideas. Scalia was making reference to other sources/briefs/researchers and passing along their findings in the form of a question. Trump should have taken a little more time to research before he responded or framed his criticism differently so as to not place the words in Scalia’s mouth. This was a Trump error.

They agreed not to ask her the question.

They lied.

Trump has shown us how to deal with the Media DeathStar.

If you give them an inch, or justify their tactics, you're signing on as crew to the DeathStar.

Matt Lauer is a big boy, and he can own his promises to his guests. He makes $7500 an hour. If it comes down to a he said/she said between Lauer and Palin, it's guaranteed that Lauer is lying.

Not "almost" guaranteed - guaranteed

That's why they pay him $7500 an hour - he's there to deliver "their" message - uber alles.

Can you please show me the jump from endorsing Trump to discussing her son and PSTD?
Sarah should have gone right after Hillary and the email scandal, that's the one that is freshest in everyone”s mind.
They allowed her to do so by not talking about the Iowa caucus tonight. Hillary was fair game then.

The more natural reading of the language and original understanding of the “natural born” citizenship requirement therefore would seem to be that one needed to be born, as the 14th Amendment put it, “in the United States,” rather than that one had an American parent. The Constitution, as opposed to any statute, prescribes birthright citizenship, not lineage, as the constitutional definition of acquiring citizenship at birth. Any statute expanding that definition to take into account the massively increased mobility of American citizens since the rural agrarian roots of the Constitution in 1787 would provide a means of automatic naturalization.

In short, the framers of both the original Constitution and the 14th Amendment seem to have distinguished between constitutionally and legislatively conferred citizenship.

Those who acquire their citizenship by virtue of birth in the United States are, according to the 14th Amendment, constitutionally conferred citizens, which also seems to be the original understanding of “natural born” citizens. All others must secure their citizenship through legislative enactment, i.e. naturalization, whether with or without any required process or prerequisites.

The irony, of course, which cannot be lost on Sen. Ted Cruz, is that under the Constitution anyone born in the United States to a set of undocumented immigrants has a much clearer and more certain legal entitlement to run for president of the United States than he does.

No wonder Cruz has railed against birthright citizenship, even though it is expressly contained in the first sentence of the 14th Amendment, a document he swore an oath of office to uphold.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2016-01-27/ted-cruz-is-not-a-natural-born-citizen-according-to-the-constitution

Finally, regarding his US citizenship, he was a Canadian Citizen until 2014, when he formally renounced his Canadian Citizenship, so for most of his life, he was a dual Citizen.
When he decided to run for President, he took immediate steps to renounce his Canadian citizenship.
...
Well, that process was formally completed last month, and he received a letter in the mail this week telling him so, the newspaper reported Tuesday.

“This is to certify that the person named above has formally renounced Canadian citizenshp and pursuant to the Citizenship Act will cease to be a citizen on” May 14, 2014, the letter read.

Washington (CNN) Donald Trump says Justice Antonin Scalia’s comments about black students performing better in “slower-track” universities are “very tough” to African-Americans.

“I thought it was very tough to the African-American community, actually,” Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview that aired Sunday on “State of the Union.”

“I don’t like what he said,” Trump added. “No, I don’t like what he said. I heard him, I was like, ‘Let me read it again’ because I actually saw it in print, and I’m going — I read a lot of stuff — and I’m going, ‘Whoa!’ “

Scalia has been criticized for comments he made Wednesday during the Supreme Court’s hearing of an affirmative action case in which he seemed to suggest that some African-Americans belong in lesser colleges.

“There are those who contend that it does not benefit African-Americans to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a less — a slower-track school where they do well,” Scalia said. “One of the briefs pointed out that most of the black scientists in this country don’t come from schools like the University of Texas.”

Good point.

"Now that you mention it, Matt - what did you personally think of the SHOCKING news this weekend about the operational intelligence and the lives put at risk by Hillary Clinton's illegal personal email server?"

“Trump fans are already insufferable. I remember the good ole days when FR was a conservative site that supported conservative candidates ... “

conservative ... conservative ... You present that term like it is some sort of talisman.

Oh! You mean like the “conservatives” in the House ... not a single one with the sack to challenge John Boehner’s Mini-me?
“Conservatives” selling Americans out to the cheap labor express?
The “conservatives” running in place—Trey “Bulldog” Gowdy, appointed May of 2014, um, who unfortunately left his testicles in South Carolina—who just can’t seem to bring the hammer down on criminals like Holder, Lerner or Clinton, or anyone of the other Obama scofflaws?
Do you mean the McCain and MSM “conservatives” who denigrate us here on Free Republic?

Non-RNC conservatives here and elsewhere are changing the definition of “conservatives” to: “Republicans unafraid to kick the living **** out of “progressives” and their friends on the right.”

You have’t seen “insufferable” yet, Sunflower. Go Trump.

Don't be too hard on Mr Ramsbottom.

He's picked up a case of communicable Butthurt from Ted Cruz, who got it when Mistress Megyn, The Queen of Pain, put the Ramsbottom on him the other night.

Cruz passed it along to a bunch of his minions, like some ButthurtTyphoid Mary.

Fortunately, there's a chance for some "temporary relief":
