P. 72 - I don't hink a single-payer system makes sense anymore. If I did I would say it; I would't need anyone else to say it for me. Maybe a single-payer system works in other countries.
P. 75 As I've said, I'd like to see a private insurance system without artificial lines drawn between states. We need to get rid of those lines and let people and companies cross state lines to purchase the best plan for them. The government should get out of the way and let insurance companies compete for your business.

The quotes in this article supersedes whatever he said before because it is the most recent position he's stated (at least that I know of). And this last one is “government's gonna pay for it” which is conflicts with your quote from his book.
His positions change with the wind and you have to keep up... He's really sincere about it so lap it up. A little more socialism will make America Great again!
