THOUSANDS of Democrats, Independents have CHANGED PARTY to Vote in GOP Caucus (VIDEO)
Gateway Pundit ^ | February 1,2016 | Jim Hoft

Jeff Kaufmann: When I talk about intensity, Im talking about, were now getting about 100 phone calls and hour into RPI (Republican Party of Iowa)… To put that into perspective, we get usually 5 or 6 an hour normally. This is beyond the pale… A lot of Democrats and Independents are asking about changing their vote to Republican. The Secretary of State’s report last week indicated over 3,000 people have done that already. I think we’re going to see a little bit of a surge that way.

Kuafmann credited the Trump and Rand Paul campaigns for this surge in new GOP voters.

No, as poll after poll has shown, many of these people are abandoned by BOTH parties and now see someone they can back. Be joyful. Your deliverance is at hand.

Anyone do the math? That’s a few percent of typical caucus attendance and a lot less percent of registered Republicans. Add the same number, or even double it, for at-caucus registrations. Seems like reasonable, modest numbers and I wouldn’t place a bet that they would overwhelmingly favor one candidate.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Blizzard won’t hit populated areas until after voting is over.

I actually see this as a good thing.

I would wager that the cross-overs will come from Hillary's camp more than Bernie's camp. I think this hurts Hillary big time.

In my part of NW Iowa, the snow is now expected not to start until 10 pm, well after caucus attendees are safe at home.

Dems crossing over would mostly hurt Hillary. A benefit for Bernie.

Voting Trump means never having to choose a political ideology .....

Not to worry. The left don’t like to risk fixing the voting machines (ergo thousands of fast-tracked illegals, made citizens so they can vote) but If they don’t get their man, they will rely on the voting machines. Don’t doubt me!

I think this is probably more fed up voters and less “operation chaos”.

I saw that on Fox this morning, I think he said 120 calls an hour while they usually get 5 or so, (I may be wrong, the article says 100) and 700 democrats changing parties, the rest Independents, around 3000 total so far.

But we have to remember, Nov last year I heard one radio talk show host (I can’t remember who) saying he had never had so many calls from people telling him they had just voted Republican for the first time in their lives. Usually a small few here and there will cross over, this time he had people calling all day long.

This is still going on as more and more people wake up and more get completely fed up with the business as usual politicians infesting DC.

I don’t think many of these are interested in voting for the least common denominator, it’s much more likely people who are fed up and intend to vote for Trump. He’s been getting cross over from both Democrats and Independents since day one, I’ve seen numerous posts in news website comment sections saying “I’m democrat and voting for Trump”...

I think most of this is very likely to be legitimate crossover voters. Taken all together it sure looks like it...surge in crossover voters last year, a surprising number admitting they support Trump online, reports almost from day one that Trump was pulling voters from other parties...and I think a few might be swapping to vote for others, Rand Paul in particular, but not many.

> “I think many more are swapping party designation to vote for Trump.”

>They could still be doing that because they think Clinton or Sanders could beat him easier than they could win over Cruz or Juan Elliot Bush.

A wad of belly-button lint could defeat YEB!

Every RAT I know thinks the Witch or Bern could beat Cruz. That’s why I’m with Trump despite loving Cruz.

I’d think Jeb Bush would be the softest target for Dems in November.

So either -
There’s no surge and Trump is done, or...
The surge isn’t real GOP support, so it doesn’t matter.

Do I have that right?
