If Cruz had only had a knockout debate performance like he did at the CNBC one, he would’ve locked this up. Unfortunately Rubio had his best debate performance and that also reflects in the late deciders with him being the top choice.

Well, remember we don’t know how bad it would have gotten if he HAD gone to the debate with them bussing in the illegals and slammies and all. Have to trust his judgment on that one.
I'm not sure if Trump would have been better off being at the debate. If the moderators had asked similarly difficult questions of Trump, Trump would have not had any good answer, especially with follow-up questions. Cruz was prepared and would have ripped Trump a new one.
