I’m a Christian and it bothers me when people invoke “the body of Christ” in a political contest.
Honestly who wins doesn’t matter - we know what happens in the end.
I choose to not react to any religious references even though sometimes I think it is totally staged for manipulation. Often it is not. Not being a mind reader and believing in freedom of religion and expression, I choose to just use it as an opportunity to be thankful for our freedoms. I am not forced to agree.
It never works out well when mortal men claim the Power of Christ in order to achieve worldly gain. This won’t end well for either Cruz or his followers. Too bad we’ll probably have to share the pain.
