Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement tonight congratulating Senator Ted Cruz on his victory in the Iowa Caucus.
"On behalf of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund and our grassroots activists around the country, I'd like to congratulate Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on his record-breaking victory tonight in Iowa.
Senator Cruz was able to harness the power of grassroots activists in Iowa because he is a trusted conservative who not only shares our values and principles, but has consistently proven his courage to keep his promises.
When Senator Cruz says he will repeal Obamacare, secure our borders and balance our budget, our supporters believe him because he follows through when he gives his word.
He stands on his principles despite the opposition of the Corrupt Washington Dealmakers, whether it's the liberals who gave us government-run health care or the establishment Republicans who call the shots on Capitol Hill. It is striking that a vast majority of caucus goers in Iowa supported candidates, like Senator Cruz and others, who are Washington outsiders over the establishment candidates supported by the Corrupt Washington Dealmakers. People in this country are fed up with business as usual in Washington and are ready for new leadership.
Our grassroots activists will continue to support Senator Cruz all the way to the nomination and then to the White House as the next President of the United States."
Congrats to Ted for a solid showing.
Congrats to the insurgency for pulling 52% of the vote! Maybe Washington will get the message.
THANK YOU IOWA REPUBLICANS!!!!
Cruz - Trump?
I wonder if Sara Palin is embarrassed that her magic touch didn;t help the Donald.
I am listening to Cruz right now and I am bored. I just don’t get him at all. He is droaning on about people who he is thanking. He didn’t win the Presidency after all. I can’t imagine that happening he’d talk all night. He does not have a pleasant voice at all.
Sorry to say I agree. He needs to get off the stage now.
Has anyone that won Iowa ever gone on to win the nomination?
Winners aren’t losers.
There have I said it for you!
Trump and his Cruz bashers have finally finished smearing Cruz across the plains of Iowa!
I just said that a 40 minute speech is a bit much for winning on state especially Iowa which was tailored to him. New Hampshire won’t be.
my my - those grapes are sour
