Democrats in chaos: Hillary and Bernie are left in limbo as poor staffing at Iowa polling places means caucus winner won't be declared until later today

Iowa's Democratic faithful will have to wait until Tuesday to find out who won their presidential caucuses, as state party officials botched the event and can't determine who won in nine of the 1,681 voting precincts.

Poor staffing led to questions at caucus sites scattered all over the state, leaving liberals with egg on their faces - and casting a cloud over the results although Hillary Clinton has already claimed victory.

When counting stopped in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, she held a 0.29 per cent lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The Iowa Democratic Party will have to recreate the vote totals at the mismanaged locations by conferring with the Clinton and Sanders campaigns.

Every campaign typically has a designated observer at each caucus site to be sure each vote is credited to the right candidate, and then a Democratic official certifies the final count and sends it to the state party headquarters - this year, via a special Microsoft mobile app.

But it appears that when it was time in nine precincts to communicate the results, no one from the party was there to relay them.

The Sanders campaign told reporters late Monday night at the Des Moines International Airport, where a charter flight to New Hampshire was preparing to leave Iowa, that the party had dropped the ball in nine precincts.

Hillary Clinton Has The Most Statistically Improbable Coin-Toss Luck Ever

"DES MOINES, Iowa - One of the most bizarre details to emerge from Monday's Iowa caucuses was that in six Democratic counties, the ownership of six delegates was decided by a coin flip..............."

Well, dems o win major cities with 120% of the vote and people believe. They win the impossible statistical race all the time.

I can’t believe Sanders supporters don’t have slews of pictures of under-represented Sanders voters.

That was a big issue in 2008 (Hillary versus Obama); she was winning primaries (where votes are counted) while caucuses were being given to him (where “enthusiasm” is counted). It was an easy way for the party leaders to give an affirmative action win to the more victimized victim; BJ Clinton understood what was happening as he watched his wife fall behind, but could nothing to stem it.

In my opinion, when Hilary and Bill are in Hell where they belong, the World will be a better place.

——why a caucus is better than an actual vote.——

voting machines don’t accept bribes

I’m glad to see her struggling, but still fear she could win; they both hearken back to a dark time in this country when the all-out assaults on Western Civilization re-started (after a brief hiatus from the late 1960s). I still remember BJ Clinton at some kind of celebration when California was no longer a majority-white state - and I still have no idea why they thought that was cause for celebration. Soul-less, short-sighted people in it for themselves; if BJ had resigned after the Paula Jones case, Gore probably would have been elected president in 2000. BJ left voters no choice but to exact revenge on his VP.

Plus a caucus is a party event, no use of the state election apparatus.

It weeds out the laziest.

So people who can't make it to the caucus because they work evenings are lazy?

Every state should have caucuses

What sort of results would you expect in an inner city precinct that has union thugs or Black Panthers running the show?

Later on, when general election time comes around, someone ask the Dems why they participated in a caucus where 3 weeks of early voting/absentee balloting is not allowed. Don’t they always tell us how unfair that is? Voter suppression!! (Oh yeah, there’s only 12 black people in Iowa, so the race card doesn’t work all that well).

Washington Times: Unsure in Iowa, Hillary sends Bill Clinton to South Carolina firewall

JEFFERSON, Iowa - Hours before the country's first nominating contest here gets underway here Monday, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton braced for a possible loss by sending President Bill Clinton to campaign for her in South Carolina.

The campaign announced that Mr. Clinton will stump Wednesday in South Carolina, where Mrs. Clinton has worked to build a firewall against rival Sen. Bernard Sanders."......

So here's my question. Who will the Dem's run as their Presidential nominee? I don't care what the talking heads say, I can't believe the national party will stay with a sinking Hillary and old Bernie. I really thought it would be Castro, but he didn't file preliminary paperwork for this election.

From what I saw last night, I think Bill's appointment with the Grim Reaper is sooner rather than later.

Watch out for the "sympathy vote!"

that the party had dropped the ball in nine precincts.

I'm sure it's all an unplanned coincidence.

To help Hillary limp into NH before the totals are announced and Sanders is announced as the winner?

And how about those 6 winning coin flips?

And how about those 6 winning coin flips?

I don't understand why they even did the coin flips.
I don't understand why the reports were that they had less 'participants/delegates' to deal with, yet could not get done in time.
I don't understand why there were reports of many leaving in disgust before the 'vote'.
I don't understand why the voting was held up.

(I know the explanations that were given, I just don't believe them)

Was this just one caucus location that the coin flips occurred in ?
