Why? Does that change what Cruz did? Does it change that one of his spokespersons didn’t deny it? Does it change that now that there is blow back Cruz is “apologizing” for it?

No it doesn’t. This is a pattern. Same as always with all these people. Anything to win. Which means they don’t care about the country they only care about themselves.

I see Cruz apologizing for not updating people when Carson clarified his position, which seems to have happened about the same time as the caucus started which was a busy time. CNN has not apologized.

And the “Christians” here on FR are calling Cruz a liar and a slime even though they have no idea what Cruz’s people knew and when - and knowing that what Cruz’s people said reiterated what CNN had reported.

For my money, judging by the information I have and what I am able to see, Cruz is the one taking the high ground, apologizing for a misunderstanding. The Cruz campaign did not misunderstand CNN; CNN reported it wrong. But Cruz is willing to be the gracious person in the middle of all this.

Unlike those here on FR who seem to want to use this to destroy Cruz’s reputation, which I think is the subject of the commandment on bearing false witness.

I’ve seen “Christians” here on FR objecting to Cruz asking his supporters to put on the full armor of God and to pray. How can a Christian object to the full armor of God and prayer?

I have no idea who I’ll vote for, but I know from what I see that I hate politics. I see why God says through the apostle Paul that we are to avoid “party spirit”. I used to think that was about drunkenness, but it’s really about a specific kind of intoxication - the intoxification of “my guy or the highway”. It was wrong when it was Apollos v Cephas v Paul, and it’s wrong when it’s Cruz v Trump v Carson v Rubio... because it’s not about truth or the grace of God; it’s about humans wanting to force their plan rather than trusting God to work it out if/when the simple truth is known.

I don’t know the truth of all that happened. I’d like to know. But in the meantime I don’t think it would be right to throw rocks at somebody when the jury is still out.
