Trump's boycott was foolish and hurt him.

Sanders' boycott makes much more sense: O'Malley's gone now. Without Sanders there is no debate, and Clinton has no excuse not to debate.

Trump's boycott helped. The MSM and other candidates laid into Cruz so that he lost some support.

Also it was an opportunity for Trump to cozy up to Santorum and Huckabee in hopes of getting their votes to move toward him rather than Cruz.

I thought for sure that all of the conservative votes would move toward Cruz after Iowa. I'm not so sure now with Huckabee, Santorum, and Carson being openly hostile toward him. At some point I can see them all making speeches in support of Trump.

Cruz's support in the south might shift toward Trump if Trump's strategy plays out the way he seems to want it to.

“Clinton has no excuse not to debate. “

Yes she does, every time she opens her mouth, she looses ground. Her best hope of being president is to go through the entire campaign letting surrogates talk for her. She’s “The Distinguished Gentleman” in a mumu!
