Cruz team just re-reported it....heavy on the quitting part....
Politics is a blood sport....Cruz did apologize to Carson for jumping the gun on a bad piece of reporting...

That is still unknown as late as Bill O’Reilly’s program tonight.

I meant to add that regardless of who is to blame for the rumor, the fact still remains that it is unknown as to how many votes switched away from Carson and to whom.
And I repeat that if that is not known, neither is anything else regarding the top three candidates.
The reason why Dr Carson left early was to change his clothes and get an early start to avoid the snow storm. Ask yourself why would he drop out when he was in 4th place with 9.5% and others a lot lower. Huckabee was the only one who dropped out with 2%
