I already responded to that and pinged you. Trump has used campaign cash to get politicians to seek eminent domain to benefit him. So Cruz’s claim is that “the cost of doing business” that Trump talks about means buying politicians to do stuff like that on your behalf - including the use of eminent domain to try to buy out people who don’t want to sell. And Trump has not denied any of that, as far as I know. That IS “the cost of doing business”. Trump’s argument is that a lot of people gain when eminent domain is used, and the property owner is compensated. Which are valid points too.
The Cruz ad was not accurate if it said that Trump got rich through eminent domain, because Trump was not successful in trying eminent domain. But Cruz’s point about “the cost of doing business” including some “deals” to get government favors that target normal people. That part is true.
The point of all of this is that people stink. All people stink. As I said before, God help us all!
Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A never compromised their values to help their profits. Selling out your values for money is prostitution, the very definition of immorality. The idea that money is an excuse to do immoral things is insanity. Did that excuse work for Judas?
Trump has only one connection to an eminent domain case. It happened in Atlantic City. The city tried and failed to use eminent domain. Trump’s involvement consisted of offering the owner ever larger sums for her home. She turned them all down.
Where is the evidence that Trump did anything other than offer the woman vastly more for her house than the city offered?
