“It is beyond my understanding why the Department of Justice will not appoint a special counsel in order to resolve any potential impropriety that could taint this investigation.”

Then, he doesn’t have the first clue about how this administration works. The one requirement above all else is protecting Obama’s six. If Hillary were ever indicted, she’d bring much of Obama’s administration with her. People who think Hillary will face prosecution are fooling themselves.

Whether she faces prosecution or not is irrelevant. she’s already on trial in the court of public opinion. The increased support of Sanders is a side effect. People who had no idea of her history are seeing her for what she is ... a liar.

The FBI has a well thought out PR campaign in progress via the leaks. we’ll see more and more notable people weigh in. Even the media has noticed. Hillary is the human equivalent of a car wreck. Everyone, even if they don’t want to, gets slowed down by those that look.

The outrage that’s developing is going to suck the oxygen out of everything. This is a story that will consume the media especially if Trump attacks Hillary once the FBI leaks their findings.

Obama is looking at a lose-lose. He can do nothing and the thing will spin out of control with more and more recriminations or he can try to delay things by allowing the appointment of a special prosecutor. Either way, it’s not going away.

Unless he’s brain dead stupid, he’ll realize he’s looking at the one event that will define his legacy.
