Donald Trump just accused Ted Cruz of stealing the Iowa caucuses over the Cruz campaign's admission that it helped spread a rumor that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!

--SNIP--

Update 2. Oh boy:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified. 9:28 AM - 3 Feb 2016

I can't believe that FReepers STILL take this guy seriously.

My reading of the board is that he's starting to trend downward here. Of course, that will just redouble the rage of his supporters.

Sensible people are coming to their sensrs.

I get several emails for money request from Cruz. I replied to all that I dropped him as a choice of mine for President.
Ballots were a dirty trick.
Rumors of Carson leaving the race and asking those voters to come to the Cruz campaign also a dirty trick.
Look whose sponsoring Cruz lately.

He is a disappointment and I can’t consider giving him my vote anymore.

Ted pretty much well done after Iowa. Another morning poll today came out showing him down by 5 times that he was in Iowa. He’s not going to overcome it.

That depends on how many were affected, but if any were affected, then it was an ineffective election.

That was a roundabout way of agreeing with him.

If Trump had done that, would you be say it was just a big ok whoopsie?

I kind of feel the same way. If he thinks Ted Cruz plays dirty pool wait until he sees the Clintons. He’s an acceptable candidate to me in the general election because I think he might just build a wall and he might be able to balance the budget. I’m so tired of being lied to by the establishment that even Trump is worth a shot at this point. However, I think I’ll case my primary vote differently.

After screwing Dr. Carson, Hillary will get a huge AA vote thanks to Cruz.

I’ve seen pictures, Hillary needs to join AA herself.

Ted Cruz cannot come close to winning a general election...never!!!

And you think Trump can? Trump is one of 2 candidates in this race that has 100% name recognition - him and Hillary. And Trump has the worst ratings for a politician that Gallup has ever measured - even worse than Hillary. So if he is already a known factor, and 60% of the country doesn't like him, how do you see him winning a general election? Cruz only has a 37% unfavorable rating, and he has far fewer people that know much about him, so he has more room to gain new supporters than Trump.

Winston Churchill is credited as saying, "the Hun is either at your feet or at your throat."

I think that observation fits Donald Trump. Narcissists, sociopaths, are very clever at seducing people and they are utterly without a conscience in abandoning them. We already saw evidence of this as Donald Trump came to believe the polls in Iowa and decided he needed the middle more than the conservative base of the Republican Party to win the general election and so he calculated to abandon the conservatives and court the Nancy Pelosis and Mitch McConnells of the establishment.

Now that he has lost the Iowa caucus, I would have thought that he would resume his seduction mode for conservatives but the pathology seems to have taken hold and reduced him to petulance to issue these very revealing tweets.

It will now be harder for Donald to continue to play this double game.

though I have some doubts about both.

The reality is that neither one of them can fix things. In fact, Nobody can fix it. There will have to be a rebuild as history has shown us time and again.

There are too many bad decision to overcome even if we made perfect decisions from now on. There are unavoidable consequences on the horizon. There is no safe harbor for the coming storm. We will all be affected.

We our at the same point that caused the demise of USSR
1) out of money, can’t tax or borrow enough
2) Satellite countries (states) beginning to ignore the central authority.
3) People hating their government.

Not being a pessimist and definitely not an optimist, but a realist. The Invisible Hand is at work.

The good news is that it is not the end of the world, life goes on. Maybe.............................

This is no different than what happened in Mississippi. I guess now the Cruz guys think this kind of tactic is ok. I am shocked.

Trump speaks the truth, again!!! Of course Ted had to use shady tactics to win his one extra delegate over Trump. Let Canuck Cruz savor his one and only victory in the primary season. Ted was exposed for the fraud that he is. Bye bye, Teddy!

If he stole it, he stole it fair and square. Sounds like sour grapes from Trump. He’s got a lot of work to do in New Hampshire and on.

Cruz is a seedy looking preacher, snake-fondling Canadian Creep that had about a 15 percent ceiling amongst the Republican electorate.

It's safe to say that Bernie would beat Cruz in a head to head.
