Cruz has More Cash on Hand than the RNC
Conservative Review ^ | February 3, 2016

One of the key metrics on the strength of a campaign is how well their fundraising, and allocation of resources are going. In that measure Ted Cruz's campaign is on fire. According to FEC reports, for the most recent filing period, Ted Cruz had more cash on hand than the Republican National Committee.

For the period ending on December 31, 2015 Cruz reported having $18,734,794.46 cash on hand. For the same end date the Republican National Committee had $18,723,782 on hand. Cruz had about $11,000 more in his war chest than the RNC. It shows a particular strength for his campaign.

Part of the cash on hand equation is how well a campaign has managed their resources. The ratio of money spent to money raised is know as a campaign's burn rate. Going into the heat of the primary season, Cruz's burn rate is the lowest of all candidates. He has spent just 60.6% of what he has raised.

So while Ben Carson has raised more money, he has burned through it at a much faster rate than Cruz. Carson has spent 88% of what he has raised, mostly on direct mail, which allowed him to raise the money in the first place.

Going into the home stretch of the nominating contests, here is a ranking of the current candidates cash on hand as reported to the FEC...

When the blizzard of direct-mail appeals from TC was just a few snowflakes wafting in the Autumn air, I stopped donating. Because I recognized the pattern of fund-raising from times before and I did not like it. Still will vote for TC if he is the Party nominee, I think.

That means that 60 cents of every dollar has been from a small donor

It's WHO he's beholding to for the other 40% that concerns me.

The same damn people that everyone else is “beholden” to.

“Oh no! He got money from someone who works for Goldman-Sachs! He has to do their bidding!”

Ridiculous amount of drivel that spews forth without any basis in reality.

That’s true. Ted Cruz separates monthly donor money for overall campaign operations from individual campaigns that are payed for out of one time donor money. That’s one of the ways he stays in the black, unlike Donald Trump, who is completely in the RED.

Ted Cruz is raking in big-money support, special interests who think they’ll get what they need from Cruz because they will own him.

That's ok, I have better things to do than to feed your weird Sarah Palin fetish.

No doubt. And I don't wish to deter you from your mission here on FR.

Still, other than starting anti-Palin, anti-Trump, and pro-Cruz threads, what is your mission again and why the Palin-hate?

“So they are both treading water?”

No! Cruz is building his war chest.

The Cruz campaign has the morals and ethic’s of Goldman-Sachs.

Did you know Goldman Sachs just this month, got fined BILLIONS for fraud?

18 million is chump change when Obama raised a billion.

This isn't the General election yet.

Reporter: Sen. Cruz, aren't you afraid of angering Dr. Carson, who has a mean temper and is an expert with a knife?

Ted Cruz: Nah, I'm covered. ;)

Nope the Cruz campaign unabashedly, and unashamably ask for money from we the people to help them take our country back from the Washington Cartel. It can be kind of annoying at times I’ll admit, but it is also one of the things I love about Ted Cruz...he let’s you know he’s in it to win it come hell or high water. That is why Donald Trump has been reduced to a whimpering little boy. Ted Cruz stood up to him, beat him to a pulp in Iowa, and now the Donald is tweeting insults, pointing figures every which way, and calling for a whole new election! What a child.

Cruz isn’t going to be able to raise anywhere near that.

He will have to take matching funds (the irony of which wont be lost on the left). Hill or Bern will have hundreds of millions to spare because their VP pick will be one of the affirmative action candidates that will have the left tossing money at them like it came off a printing press.

I hear endorsement of Trump helped Cruz.

I'm fine with her (Palin).

:)

I see your toothless smile. And I've seen someone with your FR handle posting quite the contrary. Dang that FR posting history, right?

Goldman Sachs said Thursday that it had reached a tentative $5.1 billion deal with US and state authorities to settle allegations related to fraudulent marketing of mortgage bonds before the financial crisis.

Dear McGruff:

I don’t know how you got on my mailing list - but I figured I’d send you this letter.

I have tons of cash on hand for the campaign. But hey - who doesn’t want more cash!?

So send me a donation if you want. Or not - I really don’t care. I just figured, even though we may or may/not share the same views you might bite at this letter.

Whatever-

Ted Cruz
