Are we supposed to believe that a statistically significant number of committed Carson voters simply took the word of another campaign and did not bother to independently verify it?

Rove is pushing pure spin and speculation he knows has no basis in fact and is totally unlikely.

26% of Carson voters would've have had to have switched to Cruz for Cruz to lose enough votes without them to come in below Trump. If there were magic words that could steal 26% of a candidate's support away in just a few minutes, then every candidate would be saying them all the time, whether they were true or not.

Cruz won Iowa fair and square. In fact, it's just been reported that in prediction markets, Iowans picked Cruz to win 6 to 1, while people out of Iowa were predicting Trump. They knew what was happening on the ground leading up to Cruz' victory.

Even you on the stupid pipe? Since you believe so fervently in prediction markets as to what is "happening on the ground", Cruz is going to get his Canuck kicked to the curb in New Hampshire:

PredictWise:
Donald Trump 68%
Marco Rubio 19%
Ted Cruz 7%
John Kasich 4%

PredictIt:
Donald Trump 69
Marco Rubio 26
Ted Cruz 7
John Kasich 3
