Rand Paul Aide Blames Trump For Failed Presidential Bid
Daily Caller ^ | 02/03/2016 | Casey Harper

Posted on 02/03/2016 7:30:43 PM PST by ObamahatesPACoal

A top staffer for Sen. Rand Paul’s campaign said Wednesday that Donald Trump was a key reason for Paul’s failed presidential bid.

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced Wednesday morning that he was dropping out of the race for the White House after a poor performance at the Iowa Caucuses. Paul’s Chief Strategist Doug Stafford led a conference call with reporters Wednesday morning where he said Trump sucked the “oxygen out of the room,” making it nearly impossible for Paul to get his message out.

Don’t forget his innuendo of Carson having a mental condition like child molestors.

Yes sir Saint Donald, the Mouth of Manhattan. Only bragged about banging 3 married women.
That and his world famous Trumpertantrums.

I think Rand Paul didn’t show a good attitude. I think the same happened to Jindal.

They both have good things to say but at times they let their emotions drive them. I wish both of them would have shown more of themselves than trying to tear down the others on the stage.

The last debate Paul started off great but his nasty side started bubbling up and it steals from his good points.

Although the jab from Trump during the first debate did shrink Paul, I don’t think he ever really recovered from that.

I liked the last debate best, more policy and such was discussed along with less of the mud wrestling.

He's an anchor baby, same as Rubio.

Trump didn’t call Cruz nasty until Cruz got caught doing sleazy things. Cruz was a Canadian until about 16 months ago. And he is an anchor baby of Canada. If you are born on Canadian soil you are automatically granted Canadian citizenship, there is no jurisdiction clause.

OMG. The ethanol subsidy is crushing the US economy and jobs. If we don’t end it this very second it will cause Trillions of dollars more in debt. /s

I am far from being a Trump supporter, but the truth is Trump had nothing to do with Rand Paul’s problems. Paul was a victim of timing. The state of the world in 2016 was not conducive to a libertarian message. If Rand’s campaign want to personify their failure, the person most responsible would be Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Trump is perfect. No possible way he could screw conservatives. And Cruz is the most evil person in the universe.

This tit for tat crap is getting pretty old. A pox on both houses.

And sadly, more qualified Constitutionally than Cruz.

He’s right. Rand got Trumped like many others in the bunch. There will be more victims to come.

I never said Trump was perfect. Trump surely has his flaws, but Trump isn’t the one going around preaching about Christian values and morals and then using sleazy political games to win an election.

Well, except for the part about having two US citizen parents.

It certainly couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that Paul never polled higher than five percent nationally in the race, and mostly sat around at three percent for the past six months. Definitely not. Definitely Trump’s fault.

And the Lions would have won the Super Bowl if it weren’t for all of those better teams that were playing.
