I would disagree with you on one point: Liberals are “smarter than many of us”.
They are NOT smarter .. they just willing to do or say ANYTHING TO WIN .. cheating, lying, telling falsehoods about other candidates, etc. etc. etc. Hillary is a prime example.
Those actions do NOT make them smarter; just more ruthless.

If the game is to win, then their methodologies are smarter - they realize that they need to do what it takes to win while we play "Mr. Nice Guy".
If your enemy is fanatical and ruthless, and you don't adopt tactics that will defeat them, then there's something wrong with claiming the moral high ground while pretending to want to defeat them "but they be so dang mean and dishonest".
Ain't no rules in a knife fight and we keep voluntarily tying a hand behind our backs - if that doesn't make them smarter, then it makes us dumber.
