I can recall in 2008 how the MSM told us that John McCain was the strongest candidate for the Reps. He was the one the Dems feared the most. Once McCain got the nomination, they tore him apart. And he was such a weak, feeble candidate who was afraid to attack Obama personally. Result: He lost by 10 million votes.

Bush is a non-factor, and the one the dems want to face is Trump.
