He handled the Bernie plants extremely well!
I was at University of Maryland this morning and overheard a student complain that he had to walk in to the building behind stupid people who said America was unlike any other country because you could come here and BE a full-fledged American. The question he was immediately asked was, “this was a white person who said this, right?” And they all knowingly snickered when he said, “yes.” And then he said, it's so stupid. What about Canada? There are plenty of other countries where this happens.
And I was overcome with sorrow. I remember when America WAS great, and tried to do the right thing, where everything wasn't the moral equivalent of everything else. I feel so sad for college kids these days ... their whole lives they've lived in a country where they've been told America is evil and seen nothing but a decaying America. They truly believe there is no country/system better than another, except that anything to do with Whites or the US is, by definition, bad. Such a pessimistic view — nobody can get up and lead the way out of the mud.
I suspect “Make America Great Again” means absolutely nothing to them, and, if anything, is just a slogan typifying a White-centered, empire-building, hateful/racist view of the world.
