John Ellis Bush (Jeb! for short) isn't trying to figure out what's smart and what's stupid to say. He seems pretty genuine. Speaking from the heart. And the stupidity just keeps on coming.
For those who thought it was pathetic when Jeb! recently asked his tiny audience to clap ("please clap") as he shuffled around making uninspiring statements, it turns out that was just the warm up act.
Yesterday Jeb! was happy, happy, happy about Obama's recent visit to a mosque and ! (for even shorter, as he diminishes himself) gushed with enthusiasm for Muslims. During an interview on the Hugh Hewitt show, ! said he had not yet listened to Obama's speech (a speech Hewitt gushed over), but was happy about it, nonetheless. Breitbart reports:
If it was a good speech, I'm happy, because I think it's important for the president to lead in this regard. And my brother did it much earlier in his tenure than Barack Obama's done it in the eighth year. And I'm not quite sure he avoided doing this, but it was appropriate to do it. And sometimes, you have to give someone credit for a job well done. I haven't seen the speech, but it's important. Look, when you have a candidate for president that says we're going to ban all Muslims coming into the country, the implications of that are horrific as it relates to our national security. But it also sends a signal to the millions of peaceful Muslims that are as American as you and I. And I think it's important for people to know that they have worth, that they have value, that we're all, you know, we're all American.

Good news
Tippytoes Turtle says, “Aloha snackbar!”
Jeb will never be president.
The real story here is the way American Thinker have trashed their brand. Hope they've thought this through, because once you've gone the full Megyn there's no road back.
Hopefully he’ll spend his warchest blowing-up Rubio on his way out the door.
Agreed. The American Thinker as well as a host of other ostensibly conservative voices are carpet bombing the entire patriot establishment. How is this reasoned dialogue?
Trump may well be a wild card but he is by no means a leftist plant. His stumble in Iowa may be precisely what he needs to display the spot of humility so desired by many among us. My sense is that his hubris, a categorical imperative for the office, is frightening to a weak willed electorate.
Yeb! dropping has The Cheap Labopr Express consolidating behind Rubio.
Amnesty is insanity
I will not vote for national suicide
This reads like the Onion.
Somebody must have put LSD in Jeb’s drinking water—does he know he is not running in the Democratic primary?
“Look, when you have a candidate for president that says we’re going to ban all Muslims coming into the country, the implications of that are horrific as it relates to our national security. “
huh?
Undele! Undele!
jeb doesn’t want to be president, so they, the bush dynasty, bought rubio.
Jeb loves to protect the downtrodden - to be a hero. We all want to be ‘the hero’... but the problem is often the ‘downtrodden’ are scamming. Some ‘victims’ and cultures are con artists.
Most Muslims are nice people who came here to get away from the hellhole war-torn counties of their births. They feel they can have it all here - our prosperity and freedoms - and their cultural poverty and restrictions.
Like the communists of old who felt their ‘ideas’ would work IF ONLY they found the right country to have them in... Of course that country was never found because human nature doesn’t respect State borders... communism was doomed to failure - doesn’t work anywhere.
Middle Eastern Muslim ideas don’t work anywhere either - they’re always an invitation to war when the numbers are large enough.
If our culture isn’t overwhelmed by inferior ideas many groups can can have both in the United States... live here an ‘have it all’ - it’s why we’re the gold standard of places to live. And we can benefit from the good these groups have to offer... Again, IF we’re not overwhelmed.
Again, if we’re NOT overwhelmed.
