If he were an experienced politician, he would never have tweeted the “leaving for Florida” message that started all the confusion on caucus evening. Of course other campaigns and news organizations ran with it.
It’s amazing how many have completely lost it on this site.

Carson lost control of things and just figured everybody would wait for his explanation......they didn’t....they put two and two together for obvious reasons.....all adding up to what we see as him leaving the race...but he couldn’t do so on his own terms.
And why was he saying after Florida he was going to the Washington prayer breakfast? This is not someone who is running a race.
Just political naivete. Dr. Carson is in over his head, but is a very good man.
Trump is annoyed that he didn’t hear of Dr. Carson’s plans in time to use it to get votes for himself like Cruz did.
What a circus. All of them.
That’s why the rumors of him getting out of the race spread so fast. They were just a few days ahead of the fact.
Oh I think Trump knew.....what he says and how things really are often collide in this magical world he creates for consumption.
Cruz is playing the hands he’s dealt while navigating the terrain he’s on.....selective about his responses if or not they need his attention since the media is always up for another story to spin. He expects all this “chatter” and political swings.......while Carson and Trump whine about what’s fair or not.
Rubio looks to be headstrong at taking on what’s thrown his way.....right or wrong he’s going to fight I think. It’ll take some smart doing to take Rubio down....Trump will spew any dirt he can find, unless he’s now Rubio’s new “friend”.

I knew he was not meant to be a national politician, when Ben Carson spent about three news cycles appearing on TV to convince people that it was true, he really, really did try to stab somebody. And yes he did threaten to hit Mama with a claw hammer, she would confirm it herself if she could.
What a creative way to spend one’s energy and attract new campaign funds. He is a man of science, not of Wall St, K. St, or Wash.D.C.
