Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio on Thursday vaulted into second place in a daily tracking poll, but still trails front-runner Donald Trump by double-digits in the New Hampshire primary

Trump leads the GOP field with 36 percent support, according to the WHDH/UMass Lowell poll, followed by the Florida senator with 15 percent support, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 14 percent support, former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 8 percent support and Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 7 percent support.

Worth noting that Trump underperformed his Iowa polls by about 4%, and Rubio overperformed his polls by about 7%. Cruz overperformed by about 4%.

Wait until South Carolina

Cruz couldn't even barely draw a crowd yesterday in Grenville, SC

While last month they turned away people no room

Then the week before at the Hammond Ranch Rush even said their was a mile long line of cars trying to get in

If he could find a way to step away from amnesty, then he’d lose establishment support.

If he did so, conservatives wouldn’t believe him.

So, he’ll keep his mouth shut on it.

I wonder if he remembers what he used to say and sound like?

Well first Cruz and Trump need to quit fighting and focus on Rubio.

Trump also needs to stop crying about losing in Iowa.

Exactly my point. People like you bitch and moan about Trump’s bitching and moaning.

The difference is Trump’s bitching and moaning often actually adds up to something, like here. Nobody, you, me, or anyone else knows exactly how this Cruz-Carson vote thing all came about. But sooner or later it will come out because contrary to what so many politicians expect - the public to move on and forget - Trump doesn’t forget and if it turns out to be a material issue, could bite Cruz hard.

Trump has only lost 2 points and it seems that most of Rubio’s support is coming from the other candidates. Jeb has gone down, for instance. Cruz, meanwhile, has been static. The media fawns over Rubio and he seems to be surging but will it be enough to win in NH? Not likely. If Trump wins NH, which seems likely right now, it will be interesting to see who drops out and then where their support goes from there.

It may have driven some voters to Rubio as did Trump’s not appearing at the debate. Cruz had a great ground game and turned out his voters. He also probably benefited from the last minute hijinks with Carson voters.

Ted Cruz is probably over the border campaigning among his Chummy homies. :)

That’s still better than Trump cavorting and donating to the likes of Harry Reid, Pelosi, Cuomo, Chucky Cheese

Rubio will drop once Cruz and Trump expose his recent pro-illegal immigration interview in Spanish.

Candidate Marco Rubio tells Jorge Ramos, in Spanish, That Obama's Unilateral Amnesty Is a Good Thing and Should Be Part of Permanent Amnesty Solution

CONFUSION OVER: Rubio Team Confirms Both Translations of His Spanish Language Interview With Jorge Ramos Accurate

Should be all over for Rubio. .

honestly, I don’t expect Cruz to fare very well in NH, simply because the state is a socialist haven.

Ever driven across the Connecticut River into NH from Vermont? There are so many businesses clustered along the border they practically have a sign up that says "Welcome to Capitalism" . My take on NH is that they are the most libertarian of the Northeast states.

“Well first Cruz and Trump need to quit fighting and focus on Rubio.”

I agree. That obnoxious little boy is being promoted everywhere - just as I thought the GOP-e was finally being forced to take their ball and go home this election cycle.

This might be the only thing Trump and Cruz supporters agree on - Rubio MUST be defeated (sorry, Rush).

But it has nothing to do with why night spots in Sydney are closing, and overstating the issue doesn't help get it addressed.

Yeah, and 13 recent polls had Trump winning Iowa. I'm not trusting the polls at all in this race. While I still believe Trump is going to win Iowa, I think it's going to be more of a squeaker than the polls indicate with Rubio right at his heels. After a strong second place finish in NH, look for Rubio to have all the momentum going forward.

And, FWIW, I'm a Trump supporter but he really needs to pull himself together. He's going off the rails.

By "Iowa" I mean "New Hampshire".

” His big weakness is amnesty”

“Weakness”?

It’s not his weakness. It defines what he has been about ever since he was Speaker of the Florida House.

Amnesty and Rubio are inseparable. It’s not some mistake made by a novice.

Not surprised with the weekend Rubio infomercial and the negative Cruz and Trump coverage. Add positive Rubio coverage on Rush, and negative Trump coverage on Rush and Levin. Rubio move was bound to happen :(

I think all along, the plan in Iowas was to dust up Trump...Now Trump, Cruz, and Carson are fighting.

So they can now move their boy into place....like a Chess game, and GOPe is winning ;(
