The headline gave me a real negative visceral reaction. However, this may be for the best.
She’s already claiming this is “a vast right wing conspiracy”, and it really has nothing to do with them at this point.
As long as the FBI will do the dirty work, let them lower the boom. Hopefully, Comey will do the right thing and recommend prosecution. That would be the best thing that could happen, and the GOP would be completely free of any perceived influence.
If he doesn’t make the recommendation, they could always resurrect it later.

Remember the damage done to the Bengazi investigation when that moron went on the record saying it was being used to inflict political damage on Clinton. After that, I understand the desire of GOP leadership to let an ostensibly neutral third party (FBI) take the lead and the hits.

It’s not good for HRC if prominent Republicans are (supposedly) saying, “Lay off Hillary.” The only defenses HRC has regarding the emails are “it’s those mean Republicans, out to get me” and “Everyone does it!” (The latter defense is why we’re hearing about John Kerry, etc supposedly using personal email for classified info.)
