Trump won't rule out Cruz as VP pick
Politico ^

In a striking reversal of rhetoric, Donald Trump would not rule out Ted Cruz as his hypothetical vice-presidential pick.

"Well, I don"t know. Look, I have nothing against him. It was sort of a sad thing that happened, but I'"ve always liked him," Trump told Hugh Hewitt on his radio show Thursday, after weeks of trashing his primary rival as nasty, hypocritical and disliked.

Trump added that he has "always gotten along well" with Cruz, but that "I'm so much now focused on New Hampshire."

Maybe Trump and Cruz both see that a personal war between them only makes for an easier path for the GOPe / Rubio.

We can hope.

Maybe some Freepers can figure that out too. Legitimate criticism of Trump or Cruz, and both deserve some, is one thing. The insults being hurled around here are something else: Yes, they are typical when the primaries heat up. That doesn’t mean they are good, or help us in any way.

I still think it is worse over on the Democratic side. They truly are a mess. I mean can they get anyone who isn’t on Social Security? That is truly amazing. The Republicans have destroyed the party with all the loses at the state level especially. Ours is fine. The media alway dramatically make our look like a circus. And Free Republic is always passionate during a primary.

Trump is not only a schizophrenic liberal con artist, he is exhausting.

You’ll never get napscoordinator to see reality; he is still swooning over the loser.

The downside, it seems to me, is that the whole dustup lessens the chance of a Trump / Cruz ticket.

It is still VERY early. This primary still has 4 months I predict. Next Friday for example is a year in politics. So much will happen between now and then. Saturday night is going to be very interesting.

No, it would be better the other way around: what could be more delicious than for Cruz to become president of the senate?

Texas will be in the bag so Abbot won’t help in that regard.

I think he has to go with someone from a swing state like Wisconsin. Ohio is important too and I hate to think he would have to take Kasich. Good man but less exciting than drying paint.

Donald Trump has completely gone off the rails. First he likes Cruz, then he hates Cruz, then he wants to sue Cruz for voter fraud, now he says he’d consider him for VP?

Trump is in free fall. His Sore Loserman act didn’t play well and he apparently has read the reviews. This see/saw crap will not play well. Trump is a loose cannon just firing away at everyone and everything. I cannot imagine him as president.

Congress has no authority in that area. This is a court issue strictly.

You are correct in that it must be settled.

Trump plays second banana to nobody. If he isn’t in charge then he isn’t interested.

I always thought that also -—that Trump would never accept the VP slot. I also thought that the way things were going, Trump would get the nomination and be wise to select Ted Cruz as his running mate. The chances of that are certainly less than 50/50 now.

The media shouldn’t be asking any questions at these “debates”—they should simply keep the time.

Let the candidates ask questions of each other.

lolol to repeat 1000 time - Cruz would never work for someone with no principles and carry a bizarre agenda for him.
Ted has character and deep founded principles.
