Thanks for all the advise. That’s exactly why I chose Trump as my candidate back on 6/15/2015. America certainly does not need another law clerk turned career politician. We need a real leader not someone who can recite law. We best get it right this time.

I will wait until November to make my final choice. But for now Cruz is my first choice. Leadership is not just getting things done. It is getting the right things done. Conservative leadership requires convincing people to try conservatism. It means educating people.
I think Trump has incredible leadership ability, but he needs to be decisively committed to conservatism socially and fiscally. He needs to be fully convinced himself before he can convince others.
He says he is prolife. Can he convince others to enact prolife laws?
Can he convince the nation that homosexual marriage should not be a federally protected right?
Can he convince the country that socialized medicine is the wrong model to follow?
I think he could do all of this if he convinces himself first. I think on a lot of social issues he is still on the fence. Not saying I cannot support him. Just looking for decisive commitment to conservative principles. Is that unreasonable?
There were those here that were so pleased with the paper when it dumped on Trump. Say what you will.
why do you excuse disrespectfully sending one neighbor’s record to others in the neighborhood and lying by saying others do it too? How conservative a vote was it for the Corker Bill or TPA? Cruz was wrong on all counts. Not a bad man but bad decisions. To blame CNN or his aides in the case of a vote don’t show the strength we need to get America back.

Why do you excuse prosecutorial misconduct by a Houston DA who is trying to criminalize investigative journalism that exposed baby killers selling baby body parts?

My point is that this mailer issue is grasping at straws. There is nothing illegal about it. At the worst it is rude or in poor taste.
Do you think some little old lady opened her mail and experience heart failure because the mailer told her she made a voting violation?
Do you think someone panicked because their cover in the witness protection program or as a CIA operative was blown by sharing their name with their neighbors?

My comment is not directed toward supporting Trump. My comment is directed toward tearing down a true conservative leader in order to elect Hillary. I am NOT accusing you of actually WANTING that. I am saying that the repercussions of conservatives abandoning the most highly rated conservative because of the inevitable negative news coverage from the left and the inevitable negative attacks from his competitors in this race, COULD result in electing another abortion loving liberal.
Conservatives need to wise up when it comes to these games. I am not comparing Cruz to Jesus by saying this; I am comparing the enemies of Cruz to the enemies of Jesus when I say that IF Jesus Himself were running for office (I know that is ridiculous, but bear with me), even He would be attacked venomously by some of the same people as Cruz. Who hates Cruz? Dems, GOPe, Planned Parenthood.
If you are in the trenches with a fellow soldier and he coughs on you without covering his mouth, you are not going to point your gun at him and kill him. You are not going to treat him as an enemy. Cruz did nothing illegal. Does he make mistakes? Yes. He is not perfect. He is not Jesus. Nevertheless, he is on our side.
I am NOT accusing you of supporting abortion, at least not directly and intentionally. I, at one time, wrongly thought that chemical birth control was not abortificient. That is an example of ignorantly cooperating with the evil of abortion.
I am encouraging you to live up to your conservative values by seeing the big picture. I can support Cruz without bashing Trump. Apparently some cannot. And vice versa. Conservatives need to get away from this self-sabotage.
I am defending Cruz on this, not because I think it was a smart move, but because he is the most conservative candidate by ANY rating service out there. Check them. It does not make him a criminal, evil, a fraud, or any of these other extreme things being hurled. It makes him human.
Planned Parenthood has not been charged with any crime for selling baby body parts even though it is absolutely certain they did it. Instead they have been rewarded with billions of tax dollars when they should be convicted of crimes against humanity. On the other hand, those who did the investigative journalism to catch Planned Parenthood HAVE been charged with crimes. Is this right? Is this justice? Is this equal protection under the law?
Now compare that with our presidential candidates. Conservative candidates like Cruz are attacked by Dems, GOPe, fellow candidates, leftwing news outlets, AND fellow conservatives on this forum. For what? An impolite mailer. Not illegal. Not fraudulent.
On the other hand, Hillary is a felon. The email server is just one of a million things she is guilty of. Cruz has a 100% conservative rating with most raters. Hillary has a 100% rating as being pro-abortion. Dems, GOPe, liberal news, has almost nothing bad to say about her. I think Trump and Christie are the only two Republican candidates I have heard speak out against her. Sad.
Hopefully you get my point. I am not trying to hurt you or insult you. I just want conservatives to think.
