The Des Moines Register is accusing White House contender Ted Cruz of carrying out a "campaign of deceit," calling his actions troubling for Iowa Republican voters.
The state's paper of record charged the Cruz campaign with peddling "pure, unadulterated fiction" when it sent voting mailers that appeared to be from the government.
The mailers told voters they had received a "voting violation" because of poor caucus participation in the past and for sharing information about other voters. "This was simply a politically motivated attempt to shame certain people into caucusing by assigning them 'grades' and 'scores' that had absolutely no legitimacy," the paper wrote.
"In essence, the mailer was a complete lie, from start to finish."
Cruz won the Monday caucuses by a margin of 3 percent, ahead of Donald Trump and Marco Rubio.

It is sad. My heart bleeds for that young man’s family. Having lost a son, I understand their pain. I hope they never know what a fraud Carson is. The bitterness would only add to their heart ache.
A Christian doesn’t lie and defraud and excuse it by “everyone else did it too”

It’s sad that you’ve blamed Carson for this young mans death.
I am sorry for your loss, as I cannot even imagine, but blaming Dr Carson for this young man’s precious life, is inexcusable.
The audacity of sending a letter to your neighbor naming you as delinquent and giving you a failing grade!
Maybe I live in a protected neighborhood, but I have never received a political letter that listed my neighbor’s name and criticism of his citizenship.
Seriously ? Typical marketers insult entire neighborhoods by mailing out fliers that flat out lie about the past behaviors of residents in the hopes of intimidating potential customers into buying a product ? At least bad news from the government you know who to blame and how to get remediation.
Shocking that we’re seeing that excuse, isn’t it?

Channel surfing today I ran across her speaking to a group of people. She was very good and I hope there’s a place for her in Trump’s cabinet. (Not VP, though.)

Typical of a classless Cruz supporter to check someone’s sign up date and try to shame them to others in the group.
I don’t want my name sent through the mail to my neighbor’s house with a false ratimg, or even a true rating of my voting record.
Cruz’s operatives do not respect your privacy. You can laugh it off if you wish. Personal privacy must be respected, especially in the heat of political battle.

There’s not a woman or kid who hasn’t heard the F word. If he takes the Lord’s name in vain, which actually IS a sin, I’ll have a problem with the language. (Come to think of it, I’ve never heard him do that.)

Cruz is now rightfully branded as dirty and sneaky by everyone but his followers. He will not win the nomination, so all his dirty Iowa victory did is help the Establishment.

I’ve received the same mailings. I’m not saying I love them. But neither do I love most of the campaign junk mail I get. Voting participation is public record, that’s why we see all the info on the many flip flop registrations Trump has made.
Now you and other Cruz supporters are telling posters when they can or should post. It is none of your business when Michelle posts plenty of people are lurkers and never post.
Social shaming by listing your *grade* among your neighbors names is UNHEARD of.
Cruz was ready at the helm to put the crap to ordinary unsophisticated voters, who had never seen such a display of names before. Of course they thought it may be official.
Electioneering has its legal limits.
