I doubt that neither most Americans, nor most Conservatives, nor most folks on this board would be in favor of doing what was required to return our country to its former freedoms or it’s founding Constitutional principles.
It would require eliminating government checks, benefits, and controls.
Nowadays folks would fight to the death for their social security, medicare, and other government checks. They won’t fight for quaint concepts like “liberty” and “freedom”.
When we finally go over the cliff financially - there will be a final spasm of cronyism where Americans scramble for the right to take what’s left from other Americans who are less politically favored that they have built and earned and is yet to be confiscated by government.
“Conservatives” will be wearing the jackboots, same as the “Progressives”. We want our free stuff from government, no matter what our political affiliations, and are already slitting the throat of the Republic to keep it. Our children will be ashamed of us for it.
