ABC did a relatively decent job, after the first few questions. Thier initial questions seemed designed to start firefights between the candidates, and they got the sparks for which they sought. Surprisingly, after that, there were generally substantive discussions, much more than I expected from ABC.

Trump probably didn’t hurt himself, it depends upon how many voters react badly to his mess of an answer on eminent domain.

Cruz didn’t hurt himself, and may pick up some support.

Rubio gave himself a gaping self inflicted wound.

Christie was credible, but hurt Rubio more than he helped himself.

Carson needed to regain credibility, but probably didn’t.

Kasick may do well in NH, but he is a one act show, no matter how well he does, he is not prepared past this one state.

Jeb is a dead man walking, he gave a decent performance, but it was too little too late.

Not all were asked to respond to that question! Just a few.

He explained the economic answers far batter than the rest and understands markets better than anyone in that room.

But Cruz is a lawyer and has argued in front of the SUPREME COURT!!!! Doesn't that make him more accomplished?

Especially after the DT’s last statement. As for carson/DT :

CNN was nice and covered the DT rally and just happened to be the news source for the story, and it makes a great story about “oily” Cruz. Just too many coincidences here. I am also surprised at Steve King who, got major funding and a personal visit from...DT. search for King and DT and find many such links.

What do you think?

Unfortunately the Women have lost their vote to the radicals and never really did anything about it 40 years ago.

-— He voted for cloture on TPA, which is voting for TPA. Cloture is the real vote -—

TPA is standard enabling legislation for trade agreements since WWII. TPP is the trade agreement.

Too much of a liberal for all of us, but have to admit he is damn good in a debate setting.

You are right, Rubio was off his game, didn’t do well tonight. Trump will win New Hampshire.

Even Britt Hume can’t hand shandy Marco Rubio, saves it for Jeb Bush instead.

There are two audiences for this debate...
New Hampshire and the nation.

I think Christie may be the winner in terms of impact on New Hampshire, and Kasich probably held his 10 pct. Cruz wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t his best performance IMHO. I don’t think harkening back to Iowa sways NH voters, they have something of a parochial pride about NOT being IA. I don’t think Rubio helped himself.

Nationally, I think Jeb is done. Christie may actually be able to hang in longer than I thought he would. I am not sure how to assess Carson, other than that he is giving his dyed in the wool supporters plenty of reason to stay with him at least for a state or two just to thumb their nose at the doubters.

Is Matt Drudge revealing his love of Marco Rubio and contempt for Ted Cruz ?

Quid Pro Quo ?

Well, yes, the Chinese answers did have some substance. Trump is familiar with that. I would give him a B on those answers but he speaking style detracts from his actual good answers.

Actually, I thought Christie was better on the economic aspect of taxing business.

Carson's unbecoming bitter clinging to the Iowa thing hurt him in my eyes.

Right. He should have just suffered quietly in response to Cruz's dirty tricks. /s

These are NOT debates- they are campaign appearances. Being the better debater is NOT the goal.

I think Cruz had his best ‘debate’ tonight- just because he had a better ‘presence’ and demeanor than he had in the past ones.
Trump did OK.
Christy manhandled Rubio and Kasich did himself good.
