What part is wrong and what is your evidence?

Trump is for touchback amnesty and Cruz has now come out completely against amnesty.

I agree—I don’t trust either of them on it actually

And BTW, I didn’t trust Santorum on it and now Santorum has endorsed Rubio.

They are all IMO trying to game us on it.

No, the penalty on illegal immigration should be what it is—ineligibility to come live here again.

Yeah, I don’t trust either of them on the issue actually.

Yes, the problem with eminent domain for public good is that the "good" is speculative. It often doesn't pan out as increased tax revenues, at least the high profile ones haven't. The business never gets built, the casino goes bankrupt, the economy turns, etc.

I thought the Supreme Court was supposed to decide on the facts and actual harm, not on the promise of some risky future benefit.

It’s just a factor of creeping government. Yes ID is about for the good of the public — which one immediately recognizes are roads, hospitals basically infrastructure.

Some courts have allowed this to to creep into *any* public good, like removing houses from a blighted area to build factories, or casino parking lots, or deciding that a tax exempt church should be moved for a business that generates taxes and provides jobs.

All of which have perfect examples of being reasonable and perfect examples of being abuse.

Fair enough. I’m a lukewarm Cruz supporter at best. I backed Walker in the beginning and can’t say I’m all that happy with the rest of the field now, but I’ll support him if he’s the nominee.

The candidates need to get on top of this - IMMEDIATELY. I think Obama is smugly smirking at the primary drama because it keeps everybody distracted while he quietly goes about putting us at further risk and fine-tunes all the details for how to make this nation's demise irreversible.

Absolutely...I'm turning into a one or two issue voter, and the 2nd Amendment being at the top. I hear people talking about fleeing to this and that country if so and so wins...not this kid. I wore the uniform in the defense of this country and this is my home, I will go down with the ship and be happy I got to live in the greatest experiment in the world devised by man but unable to survive man's greed, corruption and folly. It isn't too late to rght the ship but we are fast approaching the tipping point. This election could turn the tide or make things irreversible, is the way I see things.

Yes there are a lot of fearful democrat Cruz haters here...I read through the whole thread...the common use of “projection” is the giveaway . Dems project an alternative universe of how they want it, as opposed to reality. So per their projection, Ted is toast and is dropping like a rock in the polls.

Cruz only pulled into second on December 5th. He only pulled into 3rd on November 19th.

Sorry, he wasn’t anywhere near a “front runner” until the last couple of months. Carson, Trump, and Walker were in the (goalpost reassigned) front runner positions longer than Cruz.

It wasn’t a mistake in counting how many days, it was a flat out lie.

If anyone knows where I can find a complete video of the debate, please let me know. It’s all in bits and pieces on YouTube. I was able to see most of the parts that freepers commented on but I want to see Cruz tap-tap-tapping and other parts that were not included.

I DVR’d the debate and late last night watched it. I fast forwarded through everyone but Cruz and Trump. As Cruz gets more airtime he only shows himself to be more knowledgeable and presidential. His grasp of the issues and his determination in stating his will to know the solution and work to fix it cannot be matched by Trump. I saw a stark contrast. BTW in fast forwarding Rubio looked extremely nervous and Bush came in second after him. Very uncomfortable. Just too much ego with Trump. He tried to fix his statements about making deals by saying he would get everyone to the deal “he” wanted, not to the deal that was best for the country. He has power now in the private world and I can’t see him wanting to give that up. I believe Cruz will come very close to winning New Hampshire.
