The job of president is not a CEO job. It doesn’t require “getting things done.” What we need more than anything in a president now is one who will STOP the government from trying to do things. We need a restoration of limited government, constitutional principles. The only way that is going to happen is electing someone with a deeply held conservative ideology. The natural instinct of the average person would be to come into the government and try to “run it better.” No CEO in the world would ever have the mindset of trying to come into a company and shrink it to be as small as possible. It’s the completely wrong resume and mindset for the job. Trump’s idea of coming in to run the government with smarter people is simply a prescription for continuing the bloated, failed federal government we have.

That’s my point exactly. All the establishment presidents of recent history have not been able to get anything done. As a result, government has been allowed to run amok and continue to grow in size. You simply cannot cut the size of government without “getting things done” by cutting it down in size and ensuring that what remains runs more efficiently. Having worked in the private sector, Trump is not used to dealing with the bloated bureaucracies and inefficiencies that exist in the public sector. He has a history of getting projects done under deadline and under budget. This is the mindset we need in Washington.
