There has been some talk that McConnell was an FBI plant and that is why his video of events was released. Wasn’t he “arrested”?
At this time I believe McConnell is/was an FBI informant. he was released after questioning.
“Mark McConnell, who was with the Bundys at the time of their arrest and later released, disputed this account in a video on Facebook. He said that Finicum “charged at law enforcement” and ended up getting shot — and that the stuff about Finicum being shot while his hands were up was “nonsense.””

Thing is McConnell wasn’t even near the shooting scene with Finicum.

If you read into the details of Shawna Cox’s account in this article, she spoke of a convoy of separate vehicles leaving every 15 minutes and staying apart, but the vehicle behind the one LaVoy Fincium was driving, the one driven by McConnell was up close when the FBI Hostage Rescue Team came roaring out from the side road sirens blaring, lights flashing using flash bangs on the truck to get Finicum to stop.
Was McConnell driving in a way to keep everyone together for the FBI trap?
The CI is usually the first to be arrested and hauled away from the others. McConnell was one of the first.
