There is a REASON the Pentagon is often referred to as the Puzzle Palace OR as Eschelon's Above Reality. It never seems to stop. When I was with the 9th ID's G4 as the Assistant Plans & Ops Officer, anytime the Division had to do any sort of prolonged FTX off post, we had to order PORTA-POTTIES for the troops to use. Then an environmental impact report had to be generated. Understand, this was 1982! Imagine how much worse it has grown.

I will say this, the most powerful man in the entire division is not the Commanding General. By far. It is the Officer who controls where the Porta-Potties will be emplaced and who controls how often they are pumped. THAT man could create a FIEFDOM. He could summon a Helicopter for his personal use on any given day, should he desire it. He could manipulate the actions of staff officers across the division. Battalion XO's bowed in the direction of the Division HQ and General Staff Offices. How do I specifically KNOW all of this? Ain't tellin'!
